“See, when you trusted Christ, He delivered you from the PENALTY [of sin]. You never have to pay for it again. Now that you are saved, He wants to save you from the very POWER of sin in your life. And then one day, He's going to deliver us from the very PRESENCE of sin.” -Pastor Yankee Arnold, a quote from: “Sanctification Explained”

I struggle with my flesh. We all do! God changed "nothing" concerning the flesh (John 6:63). However, my spirit is born of God and seated with Him in heavenly places. When I think on that my faith is strengthened, and the trials and temptations of this world are easier to manage because I'm using His strength rather than my own!

Thank you pastor Arnold for teaching the simplicity of the Gospel and stick to it - not being double minded 💖 Justification, sanctification unto glorification. For me 3 things are most important and on my heart when I meet Jesus; 1st to hear "Well done my good and faithful servant...", 2nd to throw my crown at His feet, 3rd to be in His presence forever. Jesus is my 1st love and has been for many years. I'm thirsty and hungry to do His will and want to live in holiness with the Holy Spirit guiding my every step - not ever have to be ashamed when I see Jesus and my Father on the Throne. Gods rich, rich blessings on you and your family and congregation. 💖

My joy is in my salvation but this world is a miserable place. I am a hopeless empath and because of that I suffer for those that suffer and God knows and his heart aches too. The spirit is always with me and I know that but my heart aches for the terrible things that the Godless are capable of. I know there are plenty like me that love God but hate this world. That is why God said "blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted" and he promises to wipe every tear from our eyes and that's where I find my joy, in him. My point is, sadness, depression or heartache is not a sin so if you suffer from any of these your still saved as long as you do the work of God and the work of God is to believe.!!! And he's coming soon. 🙏

*1 Corinthians 6:11* - Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. Amen, the Holy Spirit will help sanctify us with God’s Word and truth and follow His will for our lives 💗

Is the Soul and Spirit the same thing ? -- Are we not Saved and Sealed in our Spirits when we get Saved ? Is not Our Spirit the Real Us ? - And when one dies is not it our Saved < Sealed Spirit that goes to heaven ? As 1st.John 3:9 , tells Us we cannot even sin in Our Saved Sealed SPIRITS , Because His seed Remains in Us , and we Cannot sin in our Saved Spirits ......

sanctification is a washing by the Holy Spirit...not a work! Being sanctified has been since the book of Exodus a washing and cleansing!! It is a cleansing from the spirit before brought into the presence of God! Not of the will of the flesh!
@ToriRenshaw
@ToriRenshaw Год назад
He isn't speaking of positional sanctification. He is speaking of walking in or experiential sanctification. Paul speaks of this in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4.
@scriptureplz9045
@scriptureplz9045 Год назад
I agree with T Renshaw. We are forever sanctified "in Christ" from the moment we place our trust in Him. But our physical body, the mortal man, profits "nothing" (John 6:63). The practical sanctification Yankee is speaking of is about our mortal life. It is setting ourselves apart from the world. This is about our physical sanctification, not the spiritual sanctification which is already completed by God. Look at what Jesus told Nicodemus. Do you see it is our spirit which is saved and not the flesh? Our mortal person will one day be "changed" (1 Cor. 15:50-52), but until that time, the flesh profited nothing from the completed work in us. John 3:6 - That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

We’re set apart from the world by our faith in Christ alone. Not our ability to sanctify the flesh. The whole world believes you are sanctified that way but we are sanctified in our minds, in our conscience by the blood and work of our Lord Jesus Christ It’s that faith that makes us Holy, and set apart from the world because we are known of God through believe in Christ
@ToriRenshaw
@ToriRenshaw Год назад
@@restin-n-christ3712 You're speaking of position, this Pastor is speaking of the sanctification of our walk (practical sanctification) 1 Thessalonians 4 King James Version 4 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. 2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: 6 That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified. 7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.
@KeithGreenshields
@KeithGreenshields Год назад
So the question is do we clean up the vessel or does God? Did he not say we are slaves to sin and if the Son sets you free...and Paul says die to self (reliance) thus I no longer live but it is Christ who lives in me. Thus Paul said the harder he tried to do good the worse his sins became more manifest...Romans Chapter 7. The fact is as I see it, we are what we are unless God steps into a heart who cannot tolerate their sinfulness any longer we cannot change.
@ToriRenshaw
@ToriRenshaw Год назад
We are called to diligently seek the Lord, learn and study the Word, and seek to walk uprightly. Paul in fact does say his flesh finds it cannot do good, but he goes on with the solution in the next chapter. We are to rely on the Power of the Holy Spirit and to walk in the Spirit. We do this by confessing or acknowledging our shortcomings in humility so God can work mightily. 2 Timothy 2:22 “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works
@KeithGreenshields
@KeithGreenshields Год назад
@@ToriRenshaw I understand what you are saying. However I find myself doing things I don't want to do. Do you not have that issue? unless God changes that part of me, I am stuck with it. It is easy to know what is right and wrong but not easy to follow through all the time. Especially coming from unresolved trauma.
@ToriRenshaw
@ToriRenshaw Год назад
@@KeithGreenshields Yes of course I get into my flesh sometimes. The point is to put it into subjection as Paul says. 1 Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a Castaway. Paul is speaking of being a castaway for the prize of winning people to Christ. We are called to walk in the Spirit as we lean on Holy Spirit for His power and strength.

Jesus is the 🚪, by him if any man enters in, he shall be saved. Jesus is the only truth, the only way, and the only life, no man comes to the Father, except by him. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Matthew 7:13-14: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Matthew 9:12-13: But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Matthew 11:28-30: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. Matthew 20:28: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Luke 9:56: For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. And they went to another village. Luke 19:10: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 13:23-24: Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. John 3:14-18: And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:36: He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 5:24: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:45: Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. John 6:29: Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:39-40: And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. 40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:47: Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. John 8:15-16: Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. 16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. John 10:7-11: Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. John 12:47-48: And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 14:4-9: And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. 8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
