Sanctuary of Surasthana Theme (Extended) - Genshin Impact 3.2 

This is one of the most chilling & creepy OSTs in the game but I love it.

Fun fact: this theme plays in the king dershet sacrifice cutscene and sounds like how nilou hummed in her character teaser

This sounds to me like the Aranana and all of their lost memories, comforting their Archon in a peaceful lullaby

When i heard this theme i just knew this was my favorite. The sad and lonely feeling it gives makes it so beautifull

Τhis theme playing after finishing the Archon Quest made me not wanting to leave the Sanctuary of Surasthana. I just left the game and Aether there for the theme to keep playing.

Almost feels like angels descending from heavens before an epic battle in an apocalyptic world

This fits perfectly with lore… a necessary change yet a sad one… I really was sad when Greater Lord Rukkadevata was gone🥹

Honestly, it makes me think of just how lonely such an archon could possibly get. Being locked up by your own people, and then them abusing your powers, and then some outsider starts using your powers. She really does have the right to have been angrier sooner then to the point she was. I only just did the dendro archon stuff these past 2 days. Once I realised what was playing in the sanctuary, well, this song is beautiful in the essence of where it is, it alone sounds like a story. A story, of a lonely god

I really wish you could get this as a crystal song for your tea pot

This is by far one of my favorite soundtracks; it feels slightly unsettling, yet calming and soothing. Like a melancholic lullaby. To me, this is Nahida's true theme. The pain she has endured, enclosed for years in the sanctuary, gaining and hiding knowledge and wisdom, but also the childlike innocence of a girl who was rid of her youth too soon and immersed in a world portrayed by injustice, all before her eyes, without ever being able to help. A witness to the horrors, eyes opened no matter how shut she closed them, loneliness despite seeing everything. The Sanctuary, the place of meditation, became a prison, a cell and she became the inmate before she knew it.

It sounds exactly what was going on as Nahida was sealed. It even sounds like the moon if the moon had a voice.

To me the chorus in this song not only sounds chilling, but also almost mocking in a way. Whenever I hear this song, the first thing I think of is a choir singing a haunting yet meaningless song until all the listeners go insane. Seems fitting considering that this plays not only as the grand sage starts hallucinating, but also as the temple priest narrates the effects of forbidden knowledge.

What makes this piece especially haunting is how neutral it sounds. Usually divinity in fiction dips hard into which alignment it's connected to. Evil divinity or good divinity. I can't find that here. It just sounds purely divine without any additional label.

Reminds me of NieR in a way. Very chilling and peaceful at the same time.

Wisdom is a forbidden and sometimes sinister knowledge, knowing too much can change your destiny and I think this OST is beautiful and creepy at the same time, I love hearing it

sumeru quest are the best one for me until now .

This is right up there with the winter lazzo theme and ruu’s theme.

This is a song that warms my hearth with joy and freezes it with horror at the same time. It's like a story for children, seems adorable, but in it's core there are horrifying beasts and monsters waiting.

Amazing OST really matches the atmosphere, Hoyoverse is doing wonders with the game

This got to be my favourite song in all of Genshin. I first adored the ones from Liyue a lot but this hits different.

this ost just gives me an eerie feelings, i love it sm it makes me want to find out deeper within khaneriah, our brother, the abyss, and more can't wait until we reach snezhnaya.

This ost should fit more in snezhnaya region, maybe in the tsaritsa's palace or columbina's room.

Hearing this ost play in loop as I was deciding Wanderer's name.. it was 3am and it felt all like a dream. Like you wake up from a bad dream and realize what just happened, sitting in silence as you process everything. I dont know how to describe it, but this song saddens me and also...like something very very important is happening?

This ost is amazing, Idk why this sounds like to a Legend of Zelda Ost for me, like Forest temple in ocarina of time or something

Such a sad, but beautiful song, it truly makes me think that Nahida is the archon who had the most difficult and ardous journey to this point: prosecuted and imprisoned for hundreds of years, had to witness the passing of Rukkhadevata(even if she is not aware of it, it's truly saddening) and top of it has to safeguard the Irminsul and all of the knowledge which in itself can also be a great burden, hence the saying "igorance sometimes is a blessing/ignorance is bliss".

By far the best OST in the game, the game lacks the chilling and endless depth of these archons' capabilities. This song creates a proper layer mystery of seriousness that could've made archons feel like archons. Only when you realise the power of a god, that the fear of the unknown is born. Wish there was more of this, loved it so much. Fit Nahida so well.

Nahida is too precious. This song sounds so serene, it somehow embodies spirituality and ancient divinity.

this is the most chilling thing i've ever heard in an rpg game. i had such a sense of dread when i reached the last part of the quest and this song just amplified it. literally is the epitome of the loneliness and distance nahida felt because of those piece of shit sages holding her back all this time.

So, I have a tradition from the day I pulled Nahida is that I would always take her to the Sanctuary of Surasthana but since I haven't completed the archon quest, I'll just leave her outside of the door. Two days ago, I completed the Sumeru archon quest. Now I can bring Nahida inside and listen to the music while she is on her swing
