SAND BOYS SAND BOYS WHATCHA GONNA DO This is hilarious, because this is exactly what my local Zoo did. They had a real awkward wierd space too small for anything else. What to do? Meerkats!

Well when you have tiny spaces, put in tiny animals! though for real Meerkat habitats can sometimes also be the most creative things you have seen

Zoos do have a marketplace but don’t have to pay for animals (apart from transport or adapting the habitats). And the trades are mostly guided by breeding programs. Also, zoos have their own ‘specialties’. For example Burgers’ Zoo does not have an elephant herd to breed, but is more of an elderly home for them. For other animals they do have breeding programs and they receive the younger, healthy animals if there is space. I’m not an expert or anything but this is what I know.

that's quite interesting and it does make sense that zoos would specialise in some type of animal care, as far as I know my closest zoo is like the home of the red panda program (even though the little floofs have become quite known for escaping). I would still wonder how the emails and calls would be like, talking about animals and where they go would be so interesting from an outside perspective!

Thanks and I always go for this colour palette when it comes to modern: beige, brown, black and whites usually keep it clean but also warm

Yes more small filler animal, that's definitely a need for PZ. This is a nice little place for them. Also don't do lions at the entrance, that's so boring. A big bear, white tiger or black panther would be soooo cool.
