Probably just a nod to the author's other works. I swear Neko Majin is literally just a spin-off Dragon Ball? Sandland is completely separate with no references to Toriyama's other works. The devs adding a character inspired by Neko Majin doesn't really mean anything, in my opinion.

It's a 24 year old one-shot from the author of Dragon Ball Z. It's literally 1 manga book and has no other media adapted from it other than this game, so the majority of people watching this trailer have had zero contact with the franchise. Just go and read the manga, it's only 14 chapters. Takes like 30 minutes. I saw the trailer, thought it looked cool but didn't recognise it (only the art-style). Looked online for the one-shot, read it and now I'm probably going to buy the game. The game is an adaptation of the very short storyline, so it definitely wasn't made with the fans in mind (it published in 2000, just to remind you).

@jadduck bro if you look at the year of those videos, they are old af. And you assumption is incorrect. I haven't played any naruto games after storm 4. Now adays, it don't got the same love like back in the day. Profile pics don't mean anything. I've been gaming for over 25 years so I know a bad game and a good one when I see it

@jadduck buddy I've played video games for years. I can tell apart a good video game and a bad one. Like look at jujutsu kaisen. From that gameplay trailer I could tell it was gonna be bad and guess what. It flopped. Storm connections. Flopped. Like do I need to go on? Not my fault that you are just one of these new gens and gets offended fast. And I never in the sentence did I say the game is bad. I said generic. Learn how to read. Just like the one piece game. Game was turned based and it had some depth to it but the world was not all that. It got boring pretty fast
