In this video I give you a close look at the Sand Shark SuperSport auger style boat anchor. The anchor works great in the water or on the shore as a land anchor. It's adjustable from 29" to 48" with an additional setting in between. I opted to add the Sharky buoy to indicate where the anchor is if underwater. I also opted for the bungee line which stretches from 7' to 14' reducing shock to the boat and anchor in rough water or heavy wind. The bungee has a loop on one end and a metal clip on the other. This makes it very easy to secure to your boat and the anchor without having to tie knots. Once you use this bungee, you won't want to go back to regular ropes unless you need a fixed length. The anchor is easy to use, easy to clean, and comes with a very nice storage bag. Overall I'm very happy with this product and plan to get another one so I can control the bow and stern positions in order to set just the right angle for shade, etc. If you need a larger or smaller size, check out www.sandsharkanchor.com for all of the different models for kayaks, jet skis, and boats of various sizes.

Ryan, I love watching all your video adventures on your Sun Tracker 18 with your lovely wife and dog Cooper. I have picked up some great tips from you and do believe this pontoon has changed your life. My wife and I are retired school teachers and we are getting ready to order the ST sportfish 22 XP3 with the 150 HP. We live in coastal North Carolina and will be using ours on the Intracoastal waterway and near ocean on calm days.We have done a lot of research and find the Sun Tracker line to be a great choice. Please keep making these great videos and stay safe. Rob in NC

Ok sorry I’m new to boating so my question is if you are that close to the shore why not just run your boat up on the ground like you had it in the beginning of the video and tie off to a rock or tree

I typically do use this auger anchor in that way. There are rarely trees/rocks close enough for me to tie to. I beach the boat, then run a line from the rear of the boat up to the auger at an angle on the shore. I sometimes do this on both sides so the boat stays on the shore and straight. Just depends how many wake boats are out making the lake an ocean haha

Hi Ryan, the videos are awesome... hey, I have a question, I have the same identical boat as you, only black 2019 18-DLX. I’ve been looking everywhere and trying to figure out how to install a front bimini. Is yours stock? The way it attaches to the rear would be perfect. Do you have any ideas to where I should look?

I bought this boat from the original owner who had the front bimini custom made. He said it ran him around $1200. It makes a huge difference in the summer with the extra shade and cooler deck. It saved me during an unexpected rain too. Highly recommend it if you can find a quality shop. If not, some folks have mounted rear biminis backwards. Better than nothing, but they don't join together with zippers like this one does.

I use a bungee anchor system with my jet skis all the time, keeps from banging them up on rocks. love your boat Ryan, wife and I are looking at the Sun Tracker boats.

Good review. When using it on the beach, I would use a static rope. I think you will wear down that bungie line prematurely keeping it in a tension position for long periods of time. Looks like great products though.

Didn't think of that! I always have plenty of rope on the boat so I think I'll do that next time.

Ryan, you are a wealth of knowledge! You can not take the whole winter off from the Bass Buggy. You will need some winter clothes and keep filming.

Hahaha I was actually out again today! Did my first solo trip, just me and my dog. My wife says she's done for the season. I might keep going and see if I can catch any fish.

What’s the top speed on your boat and that has the 60 horse on it Looking to purchase one just like a review on it
@ryan.vision
@ryan.vision 4 года назад
60 runs great! Max you can get for this one is 75 I believe. Depending on weight it’s between 17-22 mph but I rarely full throttle it. Spend most our time just cruising around 10 mph low rpm. It’ll pull a tube and get ya around the lake just fine.

@@honda1387 FYI, we just purchased a 2021 18 dlx like Ryan's. 60 HP. We are getting 21-22 with the top up at 5800 rpm.

how strong is it for windy rough water conditions?
@ryan.vision

I recently got to test it out on a windy/wavy lake and it did great! Held us there for hours while we BBQ, swam, etc. I beached the pontoon, ran a line from rear corner up to the beach at an angle. Really impressed by the setup and how easy it is to setup/remove.
