Ihr macht so tolle Bass Videos. Wenn ich schon nach der Arbeit kaum noch Lust auf Bass spielen habe, kann man sich wenigstens sich hier tolle Videos anschauen. ;-)
It was nice of you to include that disclaimer and, I have to say, the "presentation" format suits me way better than a "review" with lots of words like "great" and "nice". This video really felt informative rather than feelings, leaving more degrees of liberty to the viewer to decide if the instrument is to their liking ;)
Actually in my understanding the DarkGlass Preamp doesn't provide a passive tone control, like the other California TM Series Sandberg Basses have in their 2 band EQ. I have a TM Grand Dark 5 String and unfortunately it doesn't have a passive Tone Control. But the preamp is awesome and the Bass sounds really nice.
BassTheWorld.com Very straightforward, honest "presentation." lol I've been hoping to hear a quality sound demo of the DG Tone Capsule. Thanks a whole lot, Gregor. should be a perfect fit for my Corvette5. I honestly came hear for the Sandberg audio. You guys are always worth a listen, even if I am a year late..
Gregor, just for your interest: The "fake fivestring-setting" you are talking about at 7:12 is known for a long time, lets say, from the 1970's. It is called the "Motown - Tuning".
Gregor, this bass sounds fantastic I need one of these in my life! Is it possible to get custom options? Specifically I'm wondering if gold hardware and an active/passive switch are potential options. Also wondering how thick/wide the neck shape is. Thanks so much! Cheers.
I like the bass! Preamp, 35' and other features are awesome! I misunderstood the fingerboard wood. It is now sold onlyon Thomann? (Without photos). Link in the description is incorrect. And configurator on your site is not available for this model too ((
Can you please do a Tune Technology Casiopea(TW-something, don't really know the codename). I just can't find videos with sound quality as good as yours. It's a very interesting bass, I think, It's great to check out.
Sandberg has lots of different body designs other than the California. They have the Ken Taylor, the Classic, Basic, Forty Eight, Panther, et al, which run the gamut from classic to modern bass body styles.
I've owned 3 different Sandberg basses and all 3 of them are just amazing. However, the new design of California series sucks IMO. If Sandberg wanted to change something, they should better start with the bridge. Current scale adjustment system is lame, string saddles with screws are way more comfortable in that regard.
I know how this system works but when I change strings and on season change, scale gets out of tune. Need to adjust it 4-5 times a year. Not a big problem but it's somthing (the only thing, I would say) definetely worth improving sometime in the future =)
How about playing the bass properly so we can hear what it sounds like! Bloody slap bass and chords yawn, and i assume the first riff is through a pedal....
Lovin’ the video and the demo ... but there is a point in questioning the opening riff, though - pedal or no pedal? Aside of that, keep up the excellent reviews, Gregor! And never mind the crappy comments on playing styles ... whatever suits the purpose works just fine 😜 ... liebe Grüße
@@basstheworldofficial How can i dickhead I obviously don't own this model bass.... hence why i came here to hear its tone as i was thinking of buying one isnt that the whole point of these videos? You cant compare the tone of one bass to another by playing distortion and slap etc . So many people do it on here incredibly annoying and not helpull at all
