You Can not rename a sandbox once it is in-progress or completed. You can do it only either during the next refresh or delete it and then create New with the intended name. Note: Delete process takes some time based on the Org Type.
I have built an App on my dev org with declarative tools only. If I get a brand new Production org, do I have to rebuild it or is there a magic button that would transfer the configurations to the new Production org?
Hello Jyothi, You can’t create sandbox in developer edition. You can create sandbox in production which comes with unlimited,enterprise,performance edition etc.,
When you you want to get the latest changes from production to sandbox then you can refresh. When you want to provide exact copy of your sandbox to your team to proceed further development on top of it then you can clone the sandbox.
@@salesforcetechbook Hi , why do we refresh when we Deploy all feature from Sandbox to Production !! Like the prod and sandbox is already in sync with similar metadata then what is the need to refresh ? I have a big confusion , please look into it Also what if i Developed something in Sandbox and didnt deploy it in prod, and then i click on refresh !! So I will lose the developed thing in sandbox because refresh will fetch all features from prod and create a new Sandbox
That’s where environment’s (sandboxes,production) strategy comes into the picture. Everyone don’t have access to this only deployment team will have without discussion or approval they don’t do refresh. Coming to code management always maintain code version control system that’s best way
