Sandeep without doubt is a fine thinker, writer and translator. That said depiction of history is never accurate. It always has to be concluded based on multiple perspectives. Comparing the works of many like Vikram Sampath, Sandeep and the others. Sandeep Vikram and others seem to carry a bias again present a story from a pure pro Hindu standpoint and also as part of the post 60 generation. It shows that is appeasing the present dispensation and pandering to the pro Hindutva lot. And then read the texts of others like Nehru, William Darymple, Naipaul , Romila ( why not) and even other famous historians with varied views. And the reader can conclude with a balanced perspective of conflicting points. Even then it will not be accurate. The reader is carrying an informed conclusion. India 4 centuries ago was a region of kingdoms, there was not a United States of Bharat. It was all kingship of one state or kingdom wanting to acquire more. It didn’t matter where support came from - within India or outside. That gave way for foreigners to use the loopholes, invade, divide and conquer. The Portuguese, Dutch abd English took the trade route and inflicted damage. Therefore the integrity and patriotism is also to be questioned. Abd who are Hindus all on the southern side of the Sindhu river. Which means all people of different faiths. To take a higher moral ground and call the invaders as the only wrong and evil is incorrect. Sandeep has extreme views and wish was more liberal and moderate.

Spiritually speaking the muslim invaders were the asuras who came down to destroy the yagnas !!

in my opinion ,every country goes through a political down phase when infighting ,religious decline in moral, damaged social fabric etc .Europe had a decline from 400ad to 1400 ad when a Renaissance took root . similarly India had a decline from 800ad to 1800 ad .south american countries had decline when European conqueror s invaded .china also had decline .usa had no population to speak of . islam was on the rise from 700 ad onwards and crime loot murder was introduced .now islam is on the decline and die .karma will always return . .......❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
