I show you how I finally got my Sanden 508 wired and running in my S10 5.3 swapped hot rod. Check it out! Cool cruising ahead! Link below to purchase this switch: amzn.to/3DjlNwM Link below to purchase the diodes: amzn.to/3LbwvHU
Great video! I'm currently looking at how to power up and operate a low mount sanden a/c compressor on my '91 w/5.3. A question I have is about your first diagram....did you have the pcm set up for both a/c request and cycling switch to operate? If so, could this create a problem, I mean to say, should it be one or the other and not both? And the wire running from c2 pin43, can it run directly to the compressor but with an inline fuse OR would that be a relay? Thanks
I tried programming it in every possible way, using HP tuners, and couldn’t get it to work. I’m not sure what I was doing wrong. But it works just fine like this! Ice cold AC!
Just an fyi, GM doesn’t use “ECU” in their nomenclature when talking about or describing an engine computer. They use “ECM” engine control module or “PCM” powertrain control module.
Any chance of you knowing which wires to connect on the ECU having the blue/green connectors? I have a 05 vortec swapped into a 94 c1500. This ECU/harness doesn't have any wires in C2 17 and 55
Lt1swap.com has all the wiring diagrams for these ECUs. He also has a page explaining how to hook up the a/c in various ways. It’s a very helpful site! You may have to add wires to the open pins though. I think I had to add a few, for various reasons. (Such as wiring the electric fans)
So, I programmed my computer to idle up when the ECU got the AC on signal from the cab. I just couldn’t figure out how to get the ECU to work off a sensor to control the compressor, based on pressure. That’s where the trinary switch comes in.
Hi I been following u since u started the swap in your s10 I have a question is the trinary switch your using a male or female im gonna working on the ac in my ls swap 5.3 s10 but I noticed where u installed the trinary switch mine needs a male switch did u use like an adapter
Thanks hey another question I saw the diagram your using in your s10. pin 55 that's in ECU is "Ac low pressure switch signal " u grounded that wire from ECU?? My question is simple did u grounded pin 55 wire from the ECU ??
@@CliffsHowTo thank u so much I order the trinary switch I was able to do the swap on my s10 all thanks to you I used your information and parts and it made my life slot easier your s10 looks amazing with the Corvette rims I bought a Btr truck Norris cam im in the process of buying a Holley terminator xmax for the 5.3 thanks a lot man do u plan to cam turbo or do nitrous on the s10?
