you're fuckin nuts, first the capacitor is not a rectifier bridge, it's a storage device, it HOLDS ON TO ELECTRICITY ,AND RELEASES IT TO JUMP START THE MOTOR, so it can also potentially release it to the dumb human touching the + and - posts at the same time,,,,, if that fan wasn't running , and the cap was charged, you could get a massive jolt,,,, kinda like a defibrulator they use to restart the heart when when you have a heart attack,,, i'm probably writing this to a dead person by now,,,,, if not , do a little more research befor you just fuck with big wiring,,, hey, or don't, ignorance is bliss , rite ?,, oh , and 2 : that IS an AC motor, no rectifier required, rectifiers are used to change AC to DC Current
Is it necessary to have 2 original keys? Could I just , pull the 1st key , then re- install same key ? Then add spare ? Or is it mandatory to have 2 original keys ….
@CliffsHowTo There's actually a lot of people that do it That way from what I've seen. I've done it twice now with no problems. It's actually very easy.Just need a ratchet wrench and flat head screw driver. Your video did have some useful pointers In it though so thank you
I use Mobil 1 M1-113A, and Purolator Boss PBL12222 on My Grand Cherokee and they both clear my Engine cover. My other 3 Vehicles use the same Filter and buy in bulk and get them for around $7-$10 each. I checked with Baxter directly and they said I was good to use these Filters
Bast practice is to grease from one side only until the grease comes out the other side. This way, you know that there isn't any trapped air in the bearings.
I've just changed mine. i had to tap mine into the spline too but you have to be very carefull and make sure they line up. if you look into the joint spline recieving area there is a tiny section where they are no spline grooves (boot side) So even its seated on the spline it may not be 'lined' up, get in with a torch and line it up properly before you start pushing it through!
I didn’t expect for this at one to last, or for me to leave it in for as long as I did. The plan was to build another and swap it in. As you know, things don’t always go as planned, and this engine is still running like a top!
Appreciate the video, but thats not a dc motor, and that capacitor doesnt rectify ac. If the capacitor terminals do not have polarity marks, then its just a straight up ac capacitor.
Unfortunately, I didn’t know about this until the company was done selling it, so the eBay sharks got me! There are still a few for sale if you look. It was originally $40, and the seller I bought mine from was at $130 including shipping. I offered $110, and they agreed. (Just to give you an idea of what you’re looking at)
I'll never understand why people that have never done something before make video tutorials. This one seems pretty benign but I've seen several that make a job much more difficult than it should be.
It shows people that even if they’ve never done a particular job before, that they can in fact do if. It’s motivation, and inspiration. It also helps people gauge the difficulty. In all honesty, most of my videos are my first time doing a particular job. But I have a lot of experience doing a wide range of tasks. Just look at my channel at the number of videos I’ve uploaded.
I couldn't be farther from being an expert in this but I think what doesn't go in the bearings you're supposed to put in the boot and end cup. Pretty sure you were good the first time.
This is the only video I found that showed the besta tv unit without the holes for the mount. Thank you!! I wish there was another way instead of having to drill the holes 😭
It's been two decades since I did the conversion, so I forgot the procedure. Your video brought it all back. Particularly changing at 9:00. I couldn't figure out how to do that for my life. Duh, it pulls out the back!
My ac lights don’t come on . The ac occasionally turns on when when the lights decide to come on but most times the lights doesn’t come on . What could be the issue
Possibly. It was bent up, as well as broken. The new one was about $250, and I’m sure that to have someone weld aluminum, they’d probably want damn near that much to fix the old one… I have a welder, but don’t have the proper gas/wire for aluminum. (Although it’d have probably cost me less than the price of a new support to acquire those…)
