'Can Lying Be Good' is such a good episode every time you watch it because it gives you such different reactions each time. The first time you watch it, it's such a great introduction to the dark sides because, unless you know, you're not expecting it and think Patton's just acting weird. Rewatching it gives you such a different perspective because you know it's not Patton and you can see all of Deceit's mannerisms and it's so clear that Patton wouldn't say those things. After watching it several times you notice things like 'Patton' just appearing similar to how Virgil just appears. It's a fantastic episode and really sets the scene for the 'Dark Sides' and how they all interact with Janus and shows he knows what to do and say to get the situation to play out like he wants it to.

Oh thank you so much for the mention of Janus’s voice coming from Pattons mouth. It weirdly, like, *deeply* disturbs me, while at the same time Janus’s reveal is so Fucking badass and I love the slimy boi so much. it freaks me out so much that for some reason that, Roman, though being influenced by Patton quite a bit when you look at it, didn’t quite recognize that is *wasn’t* Patton until it was more obviously pointed out (by, you know, Janus drooping the act) Janus terrifies me and he and Virgil are tied as my favorite sides nonetheless

My order of fav characters: Janus & Virgil (tied), Patton, Remus, Logan, Roman the reason for this order is personal relatability, which is kind of funny for the Roman thing because I’m an artist, and he’s “good” Creativity Notice the quotes on good

The funny thing is it works the opposite way as well. In the second channel Among Us video Janus mimics Patton for a second and it's just as weird to hear Patton's voice coming from Janus's mouth as it is vice versa

@@DragonSaphira. I'm not very good at suggestions so, I apologize in advance. My 1st thought was more tier list videos. Like you could do one ranking fanfiction tropes. My 2nd thought is your both such great writers so, maybe you could do a collab where you just discuss your different writing processes or something to that effect (surly I'm not the only one who would be interested in something like that).

I have to say my favorite thing about the 5 year anniversary video is the confirmation of the "Family" dynamics lol. Just imagine being Virgil quote un-quote "Raised" by those two idiots. Love that. Dude this is the most interesting, in depth analysis I have seen of the sanders sides stuff! There is so much new stuff to unpack that I hadn't even noticed about it, and I love that. (More fanfic opportunities! :D) (and also, you know, actual theories-) (that's pretty important too) The book thing is very interesting and now I want to read that book lol, should've realized it would have *some* meaning! And the frickin orange, I hadn't seen before so I went back and watched the video and that was like, the most unsettling experience for some reason,,,, The strange foreboding music, and then hearing Thomas's voice- but clearly for a whole different character was unnerving. For some reason the way it went seemed to break every expectation in a really weirdly creepy way. I could be reading too much into that, but man am I so excited to finally reveal the orange side and that is an interesting Easter egg to find. Somehow, the season finale (which is said to be released sometime this YEAR dude, how much are they gonna fit in that thing??? Actually that's what I 2as about to say- oops) has to reveal the orange side and its motives, plus address the logan thing ( no way they're gonna ignore that, right?) And also have the Nico thing, which we aren't even sure what that is yet! And other than that, they'll still have so many plots to tie over still! How? Ate they even gonna do that? Maybe it's gonna be a two parter? Or a cliffhanger? Either way I'm excited. Also, I already said this but great analysis, I have always known logan was being mistreated, but having you guys point out the exact examples really shows the full extent to which he is. Also, when talking to my sister I told her logan was being ignored and stuff but couldn't really think how or when, which made it feel like I was overreacting and logan was actually fine. But he isn't, and that is good. I just love logan, and his many angst. I was also unsure about Patton and Roman's characters, and what exactly they were thinking (come to think of it, logan as well- actually, all the sides) and now I know so much more! Everything about all these characters is so intriguing and complicated and so it amazes me they are all the same person! I think thomas is incredible at acting, like woah. Anyway, that's all my thoughts out (for now,) and if you got here, thanks for reading this unnecessarily long comment! :DD

My own personal theory about the season finale is that we aren't necessarily going to get resolutions to all the character arcs - Roman and Logan especially, but they all have issues. Instead, what I think we're going to get, by the very end of the four parts of the finale, is an admission from c!Thomas that things have gotten out of hand, and that he needs to talk to someone about his problems, because he can't handle them alone. Likely this will come from the reveal of the orange side, after all the emotions have bubbled to the surface (possibly through another Logan outburst in Thomas's presence this time). I'm of the opinion that orange will represent anger in some form, which I think is a pretty lukewarm take at this point, but considering orange is linked with eyes and eye symbolism, it would make sense that his reveal is the thing that "opens Thomas's eyes" to how bad things have gotten, and that he deserves to get help. I appreciate your comment, I had a lot of fun with this video and I always love hearing people's thoughts and analysis!

I think the anger logan and others have, is not necessarily a bad thing and orange is just going to push them to talk about their issues, which is great, (and basically what you said uhhh,) although it would be rather aggressively. I literally listened to this entire thing while cutting vegetables for dinner and only just now realized that this was not pick your poisons channel. I was so excited to find out what the pick you're poison girls had written because to my knowledge they don't have fanfic or pot fics. 😅 Anyway this video was a blast and I really enjoyed watching it.

You said in this video at around 1:41:00 that we see Remus purpose for Thomas. And I was wondering if you guys could elaborate on that maybe even in a separate video. I really want to know like what you guys see him as like what his purpose is for Thomas. Like what can we as the audience learn about Like what is Remus trying to teach us? Like Virgil helps Thomas to avoid getting hurt and Janice also does but in a different way and also represents self-care so.if Remus is more than dark creativity and the funhouse mirror that shows you everything you don't want to see in yourself What is he?

Remus, in his current state, acts as a warning bell. He's the uncomfortable, but necessary warning for when you need help but you don't realize it. Thomas is in a bad place right now, but he's in denial about it and thus most of the other sides would be silenced thanks to Janus's influence (at behest of Thomas, as all of Janus's actions are). We can see it best in WTIT - The thoughts that Thomas gets trapped in aren't random. They're targeted, all focused on the deep-seated fear that even Thomas isn't fully aware that he has - being alone, and not being enough. Remus is the warning sign that comes up after everything else has failed, to tell Thomas that something is /wrong/ and he needs to do something about it, because it's hurting him. In a healthier state, when Thomas is willing to listen more to Remus and include him, Remus also acts as a safe space to interact with difficult and sometimes distressing thoughts. Intrusive thoughts are not nice, no, but the way to deal with them isn't forcing them out - it's letting them pass. Realizing they're just your brain firing constantly and they don't mean anything if you don't want them to. Remus is that little part of your brain that wonders what it would be like to do all manner of horrible things you wouldn't want to do, but are still morbidly curious about. He's also the place to engage with thoughts on a more subconscious level, before Thomas is ready to face them head on. I think it's very likely Thomas's repressed gay feelings started with Remus, when they were something to be shunned and shamed and pressed down because they were "wrong". He's also that dirty, childish sense of humor that gets a kick out of butts and farts and balls jokes, like we see in ATHD. Raven refers to him as catharsis, and I'm inclined to agree with them. Engaging with Remus is difficult, certainly more so in Thomass not great mental state, but you cannot live a balanced life without having somewhere for the "not good" feelings and thoughts to go. Besides, Thomas is an artist, and art is not just about looking pretty. It's about feeling something, either the artist or the viewer, and that something isn't always pleasant, but it can be cathartic all the same.

I went back to watch that's my jam because of you too and I have to say I don't have any idea what you guys are talking about. There's nothing interesting on the board that Pat is writing on and the people near Virgil in the skateboarding commercial are just dressed in normal clothes.
