they used to be the SADF and those were dudes you didn't want to fuck with, but they reformed the military in '94 - it now more closely resembles the militaries of neighboring African nations..
that would have meant skirmishing w the civilians and has the potential to break into full blown civil war, you have to tread lightly in any African nation including SA.
would have meant more bloodshed and if you're a SANDF commander you need to weigh the consequences of engaging w mobs vs allowing them to loot, burn and destroy everything. the current SANDF frontline likely cannot be trusted to run such an operation without causing a bloodbath..
Brilliant work by the SANDF. But slight concern is that the soldiers has their fingers on those rifles triggers. Thats a very big safety no no. If I was reporter I would not be so much in front of those soldiers. Those fingers are accidental discharges waiting to happen.
AT 4.30 MINUTES OF THIS VIDEO, A GUY RUNS INTO THE DOOR ON THE LEFT AND SHOOTS AT THE ARMY. IT WAS NOT THE ARMY FIRING WARNING SHOTS MAN! CAN THIS JOURNALIST REPORT CORRECTLY?

If they are firing live rounds in the air, it shows a lack of understanding of weapons. That bullet has to come back down to the ground. I hope an innocent person isn't harmed.
Our Mummies and Daddies😊what happened while I was wrongfully (to an extent) detained... Things got turned upside down real quick. They misplaced my green scissor. Ba MAATLA ✊🏽
Oh pléaße ,the Army is an absolute joke! Looting basically done, they might as well go home. Instead go to spots and prevent further looting, where are our rattéls tanks and more army members,is this it? Wtf lol

@@fifijalie7114 if there is a cause worth dying for..it is to stand up to these idiots so that we can have a country built on the rule of law. We cant have one person show the middle finger to a commission he instituted..show the middle finger to the courts..then threaten the whole country with anarchy. If ramaphosa relents and pardons zuma..we wont have a country worth living in
