Sanditon S3 -- Charlotte and Alexander's Happily Ever After 

The best ending! 🥹 I heard Rose say in an interview that she and Ben where so excited to play these scenes because they were genuinely so happy their characters where finally getting their happy ending. LOVE this show, LOVE this cast! 🥰

I love the way Charlotte goes about the room in the 2nd wedding scene, acknowledging all the people who have been part of her journey. It is a very satisfying ending to the story for her and the audience and a clever piece of story-writing, as on another level it also acknowledges all the actors in the series as well. Just wonderful. Thanks for uploading 🙂

Leonora looks Absolutely adorable in her dress for the wedding 😍. Augusta looks so stylish, I especially Love her gloves. The lace around the cuff is simply, but elegant all at the same time. The flowers in Charlotte's hair suit her beautifully. 🌹

Mary’s little lift of the eyebrows and endearing smile when Charlotte and Xander kiss as a married couple is touching. She was like a mother figure to her throughout all her time in Sanditon. What a great series. I’m so glad I have PBS Passport so I can watch again and again.

Its one of the best feel good endings! I saw it numerous times.. also Ben Lloyd Hughes comes across as such a loveable guy - I mean in his interviews etc.. so humble and no airs about him at all!

The total joy on all their faces and love in this scene, along with that musical score just tears at my heartstrings. I wonder if I'll ever watch this scene with dry eyes? Susan, thank you so very, very much! Augusta and Leo... I can't bear their joy. And then later after Chalotte closes the school for the day, the absolute joy on Augusta's face is the most moving joy I've seen.

This has been so addictive.. Hard to let go off for those of us with OCD 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Absolutely brilliant. It just got better and better. Superb acting and perfect ending. Loved everything about it.

Loved it! Loved the wedding. Laughed at Edward in a vicar outfit in the back of the church. Loved how they filmed the reception....Edward giving someone the eye, Augusta talking to a young man, both of them finally smiling! The one year later was great But I wanted them to call each other by their first name, Augusta to call Charlotte Aunt, Leo to call her mother. And I want to say this to all those haters out there who claimed that Alexander was impotent and that's why he didnt have a kid with Lucy....YOU WERE WRONG! Hopefully Lucy's portrait is gone from the foyer and there's a portrait of Charlotte there!

I'm grateful Samuel and Lady Susan are a couple, too. One of the most beautiful, loving, supportive fictional families I've seen in awhile. I'm curious as why there are no cornflowers in the bouquet or her hair. For me, that was a pivotal moment for this newest Jane Austen couple whom we've begun to adore.

I'm so 😊😊😊 for the happy ever after but sad😢😢😅 that the show ended. Now it's time to buy the DVD set!

This end is absolutely perfect since the cliff scene, the wedding and the one year later. I just wish to see at least one deleted scene after they got engaged. Maybe the moment while they tell to the Colbourne family they have found each other finally. 😊

I just felt like this scene perfectly wrapped up so many of the couples happy endings just by showing them in the pews! I mean, we have Georgiana and Otis, Tom and Mary, Beatrice and Dr. Fuchs, Harry and Arthur, Samuel and Susan, and of course the happy couple Charlotte and Alexander. So many smiling faces brought together by love. If this truly is the end of sanditon, at least it was a loving one and we got resolution with the characters and their relationships (just like any great Jane Austen novel).

I couldn’t be more obsessed of this serie! To Every single person who contributed in the making of this Masterpiece (literally), from actors to music composer, to producers to costume designers to makeup artists, the editors, the whole cast and crew and all the behind the scenes, I am truly grateful! On another note, I want to point out how much I love love Mrs Whitley! I love how she always stood up for Zander and the motherly and protective support she continuously gave him (and the girls). And also, how she subtly advocated (not sure if that the correct verb here) for Zander and Charlotte. Did you observe how ecstatic she was at the wedding? Though everyone did look super happy for them. Anyhow, I thought Mrs Whitley is a beautiful addition to the cast! Thank you Susan for all the videos, I have watch all of them so many times! Cheers (hoping for a sequel, one cannot stop hoping).

Enfin, enfin, le mariage ! Enfin nos deux héros si merveilleusement amoureux sont HEUREUX ! TOTALEMENT HEUREUX ! leurs visages, si expressifs pour montrer tous leurs sentiments, sont LUMINEUX ! Envahis par des sourires d'une douceur renversante ! Et ces regards qu'ils continuent à se donner qui ne reflètent QUE : - AMOUR, - DON, - FIERTÉ DE NE PLUS ÊTRE QU'UN, - BONHEUR D'APPARTENIR À L'AUTRE POUR LA VIE ! Enfin ils commencent leur vie de couple ; avec dans les bagages un tel amour qui a su lutter pour s'imposer, leur voyage sera heureux et magnifique ! La preuve ? Un bébé, une petite fille est venue agrandir la famille un an après ! Famille très soudée puisque Augusta est restée avec eux et sa cousine Leonora. Et on admire une dernière fois NOTRE couple qui se regarde amoureusement en souriant ; Charlotte portant sa fille et Alexander enlaçant les épaules de son épouse adorée. Et nous, nous les laissons aller vers leur vie avec une pointe d'immenses regrets car ne plus les voir est un déchirement ! Heureusement les DVD viendront pour remplir ce vide ... SANDITON : l'histoire d'une ville balnéaire anglaise du 19ème siècle mais avant tout l'histoire d'un fabuleux amour inconditionnel d'un couple adorable : Charlotte et Alexander ! Dans nos mémoires, ils resteront NOTRE COUPLE ADORÉ. Merci à tous ceux qui ont oeuvré à cette immense réussite. JANE AUSTEN, de là-haut, doit être fière de la suite et de la fin que vous avez écrite pour son livre non terminé. BRAVO ! SOYEZ FIERS DE VOTRE OUVRAGE !

Did any bride ever look so blissfully happy or any mother look so happily content ? Answers of course are 'yes' and 'yes', but Charlotte is on a level pegging with them all.

I too am sad the show has ended. I would love to see a spin off of this series following Augusta's future. I found Eloise Webb's acting enchanting and engaging; so, would love to see her lead a series. I can't help but wonder if enough fans feel this way we might get the producers to consider it...

Today is April 25th and that means that exactly one year ago today, Susan Firth, you wrote to us and assured us that “Charlotte and Xander are absolutely endgame for this show.” I know this because that message is still taped to my filing cabinet. Well, I want to thank you so much for that message because your words & music videos, etc. etc. etc. sustained us through the entire year. We never doubted you for one moment and your words, of course, turned out to be so true in the most beautiful ways. I cannot thank you enough for this extraordinary & wonderful online meeting place / community where we can all talk about Sanditon and most recently, the six episodes of the final 3rd season. I will repeat myself for the tenth time that this community is such a marvelous “hiding place.” We are full of gratitude to you ! (And I will say again, no reply is needed here, of course.) Charlotte and Alexander’s Happily Ever After: Friends, you have said it all, in such eloquent ways. To Robyn Varghese, thank you for expressing “the way they look at one another is pure love and joy!!!” And to Charlotte, your final line of the series could not have been more perfect: “I think that a girl can be whatever she chooses to be.” A thousand times, YES ! ❤❤❤☀☀☀

I always love it when there's a happy ending, especially since Charlotte and Alexander have gone through sooooo many ups and downs. I have to laugh though, throughout the 2 seasons he's always called her Miss Heywood because she was the girls' governess, now at the very end he calls her Mrs Colbourne, which is great! Did he ever call her Charlotte? Thank you, Susan, for all your hard work in making these scenes available to us! I can't tell you how many times I've enjoyed watching them!

Si je comprends bien il a endossé un rôle de père au foyer pendant que son épouse travaille ? Superbe ! Je remarque qu'elle porte le beau bébé qui doit peser lourd et le cartable pendant que lui se contente de l'enlacer (je plaisante). c'est juste magnifique. Ce bébé aurait trois mois ? Pas possible ou alors ils ont anticipé la nuit de noce...

Beautiful ending, but overall I'm disappointed with the last episode, was spent too much time on Denham’s. We followed Sanditon because of Charlotte and Alexander and we should have been rewarded with more happy time between them.

I didn’t see her parents. Did they miss the wedding?
