The only man from Sunderland I would like to meet I haven’t fished for nearly 10 year and when I stumbled over your videos I just had to go out fishing and what I time I had with me son so thanks m8
Just started shooting the new Cod Rig video peeps. This video will be packed full of useful Information. Tip n tricks and a very nice GIVEAWAY...The new video will be up the first week of December....Tight Lines....
Hi Paul nice seeing u back , in South Africa we call that a dingle dangle alot of variations... used esp wen using a circle hook works well n u can still throw a mile with a huge bait..
Good to see you back in action Paul all the way from south africa this is indeed the way we fish here and i have been trying your methods of fishing here and have had many luck been making my own fast links and rotten bottom rigs for the past 2 years and have also been buying from Andy love the videos i have learned a lot, lots of people here that I have shown has loved the Angle clip with a 2 hook flapper and works very well must say, keep up the good work would love to learn more in the future.
SOUTH AFRICA.... WWOOWWWWW....I'm truly gobsmacked to be reaching halfway around the world.....Sorry lads I'm off to touch myself for 20 minutes hahahaha.....MADE MY DAY THIS LIKE.....
Hi Paul I have not had a problem with the Gemini splash down and I’ve made some pretty terrible casts may be it had some small grains of sand stuck in it I always check mine before every cast to be on the safe side and I always have a bucket of water to wash my hands in so always give the splash down clip a quick dip in that before I re cast . Your video’s are brilliant and very informative keep them coming mate I love them. Lee
Just sent a request to join the FB group. Thanks to you I got myself the Ron Thompson Axe a couple of years back and love it for fishing snaggy ground. I also started using braid on my multis and havent looked back. Hate the lack of bite detection on mono
knot is more like a snell knot as knotless knot tag is at bend other end through top of hook eye then whipped up shank then back round once and back through eye i use the knot you tied most of the time especially for fishing with worms. thought id just let you know.love the videos very informative.looking forward to the next one. Tight lines bud.👍🎣🎣🐟
I love your show. But touching on with somebody said they can't understand you I'm from the states. And it's hard to keep up with you and what you're saying but I think you're fantastic keep up the good work mate hello from Austin Texas
Filled up my 2 penn spin fishers with Berkley big game 25lb clear with a tapered leader and holy crap the line is unreal so soft with knotting up and has great line abrasion, honestly I was casting with a semi pendulum and it felt so light, like casting a feeder rod with 4lb line
Does the Steel bar with the bait ever fall off or unintentionally get swallowed by a fish. I can't see how it stays on apart from gravity. I agree with you about the Yuki line it's great stuff. About to load up a reel for mixed ground with the 30lbs.
Loved the new video Paul and I felt that I had to comment. I understand that your rig had gotten chewed up but it was the description that worried me. If you truly believe that "it looked like pubic hair", you may be doing something wrong. Yes I am a lot older than you and I "bat for the other team" so to speak but I cannot remember ever looking at it. Many things can occur in that region of space but looking at it? no, never. lol
The last month or so through lockdown I've been watching your videos. For the amateur angler like myself are good. I would like to have a go at making a bait needle and and a fishing bar that you made in one of your videos I live in South Wales I want to know where I can get some of the stainless steel wire you was using keep the good work up many thanks
Oreet pal im just wondering ive been on the uk hooks website and ive been waiting about a year for them to update the coaster seat so that it will come in gold and 31mm cos as of yet they only do them in 24mm and only in red
Great video Paul, next time your over here at silloth give me a shout an I'll come down and have a chat. I met you last time you came over and were fishing from the beach if you remember bus load of you came across. Tight lines Marra.
Hi sir, I need some advice here, do u think that the nanofilament line is good for casting further and fishing too? Please give me some advice, regards Ewan
a couple of things to think about while diving Uk beaches you find a lot of crack offs etc Some times with live fish on big wrasse lip hooked, as a rule, I'm not sure fluorocarbon ect makes any diff and if fishing Seaford beach 150 plus is a gd idea Its as if the fish no there are a lot more flats a ways out but up between the splash point groynes end of beach from the longest jetty two sections along east high tide that hour the congers there twenty yd out some kelp but ive dived with 40 lb eels that looks big underwater shits me up at nt they eat mackerel heads that have been thrown in
Question ??? Do you sell your rigs and things ? And id love to have a few sandmans tackle stickers/decals ! Id buy some for my tackle boxes and buckets !!!
Ahhhhhh, Paul I'm from the states Texas, you guys from U.K. S. Africa, and Australia are light yrs ahead of us in surf fishing rigs. That is from what I've read is a dingle dangle. Can you use an IMP with the dangle? Also, can you incorporate the dangle into a pulley rig. Lastly, can you make the dangle from heavy 100lb monofilament line?
You actually whip the bait directly onto the bar mate. Then you simply place the loop of the wire onto the hook, then onto bait clip then you're ready to go, mate...
bassassin you can use a small piece of silicon tube over one end of the eye of the bar before you bait up and push the hook though and catfish hooks work well as the bar will sit in V shape of the hook,
The correct name is a dingle dangle rig or dangle rig for short check out ASFN on you tube there are a few versions of this rig some running some fixed iv been using it for a few years in the UK it has its pros and it's con's but tends to be best for big fish and is better with a full circle hook or one of the catfish hooks
Hi pal loving the channel keep then videos coming 👍 am just checking that steel you use for the clips an that could I bye some off you instead of byeing that big tube ad never use it all it be a big help if you could help mate ?... Nick ...
Hiya Paul, I'm a big fan of your videos. I just want to say that I contacted Elaine today (7Dec) and she doesn't have Yuki Invisible line in stock. I managed to get 1000m of 94lbs yuki invisible which is 0.70mm Dia. Not bad I thought. Anyway, my question is I want a reel to match my new Zziplex M427 Hi-Flex I've ordered from Gerry's Fishing Tackle. I'm spoiled for choice... The Penn Mag4, Penn Fathom ii, the Daiwa Saltist, Abu Garcia and many others. I'm pulling what's left of me hair out trying to decide.... HELP! Keep the videos coming mate... All te best David. From Dundalk Ireland.
been using something similar modified the hair rig using tubing with hair passed through the middle and fixed permanently have several made up which I pre bait ready to be clipped on when bait change slide over hook up snood over a large bead then trapped with 1 above power gum stop knots stop beads moving then mount hook a little bit of elastic all done bait presentation id great and no sliding up snood. I'll post a picture if you would like to have a gander.
You can buy the stainless steel directly from Andy down at Rutherfords Angling and go from there mate. The link to his website is in the description box at the top. Remember to ask for 16 gauge NOT 18 gauge mate....Good luck and tight lines...Cod All Owa..
Paul, your videos are fantastic, question, I'm more interested in the surf rods from the U.K., I'm here in San Antonio, TX I fish the gulf coast surf here in the U.S. however I have trouble ordering supplies from the U.K. is there a website I can go to to order from your neck of the woods? I'm very interested in the sonik rods, however no one sells them here In the states, how do i get one from you all?
Paul totally chuffed to see another video from you and the team. I have been making my own pulley rigs and cod rigs following you guided videos. Im from Bedlington and have ne botha understanding you 😂. Paul i was wondering if you sell your Rotten Bottoms and Quick Clips/Links? If so where do i send payment too??? Keep up the videos and stuff marra
First of all many many thanks for watching the videos it really does mean a lot mate and if they are helping you in your fishing hobby then jobs a goodn marra haha...In regards to the Rotten Bottoms I don't really have time to sell them mate ( 3 kids and all that ) but if you add me on facebook/messenger and send me your address I'll send ya some for freeeeeeeee....and a couple of tackle time box stickers for good measure lolol...We fish down your way from time to time HOPEFULLY we may bump into each other for a bit chinwag and that...Tight Lines Matey.
Uk Hooks seem to have stopped sellin the bulk 1kilo marlin blue line,,not listed for moment . Ive come across"AWA-SHIMA ION POWER BIG GAME BLUE LINE" Which at 0.6mm is 50.5kg advertised breaking strain ,which seems fairly awesome , its Japanese line with polymers obtained from Mitsubishi , so it sounds like good pedigree ,but is it too good to be true ?? , , UPDATE bought ebay , tested on proper rig ,12-13kg breaking strain so save anyone else from wasting money
Strimmer cord would be fine for rig body and don't use wire because it buggers there Teath and cuts into the side of there mouth when you are playing them
Yes, I'm sure I could point you in the direction of both low water marks and marks the best fished over high water. Try adding me on FB and Messenger and ill send ya some screenshots of where we go mate.
Those power swivels, Gerry’s (online) sells them. Just got some 100lb thinking they were about same size as the normal main line ones I use but yes they are tiny!
Yes, I do believe he does. Andy has delivered all over the world mate so I cant see it being a problem. Give the lad a ring I'm sure he will help you in any way he could, Lovely lad.
hello I am looking for advice.I am a disabled ex army I have moved to a small island called flotta just off Orkney. The island seems to have a ring of seaweed around it I can only fish from certain spots due to my disability I am looking for a rod and reel I have £200 I am new to sea fishing so I need a rod and reel that can do most of the work for me there is just so much on the market many thanks
Welcome back Paul been subbed for a few years now but this is my first comment do you use your fixed spools on Rod's rung for multipliers, don't leave the next video to long atvb tight lines Alan 🎣
Hi Alan, Yes I do use my fixed spools on rods built for multipliers which is a little strange I know as your going to go against the spine of the rod but, to be honest mate in all the years that I have done this I've never ever encountered a problem fishing this way or casting for that matter.....You know what's ganna happen now don't you, hahah....I'm going to go out this weekend and have nowt but chew on with both rod and reel hahahahaha SODS LAW...I'll be as sick as a puff with piles if this happens mind hahaha....Tight Lines Alan. Thanks for your comment.
I wish I knew that on the night it happened. Honestly, Bruce the face on me when It bit me off must have been a right picture. Swampy my fishing marra came up to me and said.. Whats wrong with you? It looks like you've just been made a promise off a lier......Made a Promise off a lier....I was truly, truly WOUNDED lolol....I'll be back next year for round 2 though hahaah...Tight Lines Bruce and thanks for the advice.....
Avoid Rutherfords please the guy stockpiles bait for his friends and hands out crap as bait ! don't bother buy your stuff online!I did a mystery shop there on Friday last week and his customer service skills and the product failed miserably !
