Sandringham Caravan Site £5M Investment Details 

It’s good news to us Graham that the club will be installing 28 serviced and 8 premium pitches 👍. Premium are wider with privacy hedge, picnic bench and brick barbecue. But the barbecue is not included on all premium pitch sites due to site location such as Clumber Park. Thanks for the tour. Cheers, Rob & Gail

I stayed at the Camping&Caravanning club site at Sandringham the same time as you because I prefer the layout, being set among the trees it don't seem as regimented as the caravan club site.But that aside the price for a hardstanding pitch with electric hook up for 12 nights it worked out about £90 cheaper than the Caravan Club this was down to getting age concession and a midweek discount.On the subject of safari tents I don't think the Camping and Caravanning Club have them anymore

We prefer to stay on the Camping and Caravanning Club site at Sandringham. We've been going there for 15 years now. The layout is much better and it's significantly cheaper and the toilet blocks are really nice. They used to have Glamping tents but they have all disappeared this year.

I agree with your thoughts re CAMC Club sites. I'd go further specifically with the lack of any social spaces or natural social interaction (beyond the usual "morning", "morning" at any of the CAMC sites I've been to. To the extent that the concept feels dated and perhaps needs just a little more spice. It seems to be that the strategy needs a thorough rethink to attract people to camping... Should there be bars built into some of the sites? Should there be a decent store at each site selling the obvious camping items but also some food items? Perhaps bike hire etc etc. I just get bored very easily and apart from the basic services, I find myself sitting in the caravan watching RU-vid a big chunk of the time I'm there. Naturally they need to grow revenue but if their main focus is switching from touring vehicles to static units, without improving, testing, simply trying new ideas for entertainment, it feels like the concept will ultimately go to sleep.

Hi Graham, excellent vlog as usual, An odd request but you recently had an issue with your Thule 630. Are you intending to make a Vlog about this as I think many ( well at least me!) would find it informative and interesting. I am keen to understand how it happened and if you think there was something you could have done differently to avoid it? ( I am thinking of sloping the awning, or maybe a central rafter or tensioned storm straps etc). Hope you have it sorted and the cost was not too great. Cheers Colin
