Very well played by wrenchd, he prepared carefully against the world champion and that's what made the difference. Sandstorm was like he's still trying to figure a way out while his opponent was very stable and patience.
Damn, so has the level of play gone up again or is wrenched just an animal? I am surprised to see wrenchds blasters, it was odd at first but he's really adapted to them and utilized them. Might even surpass Boomies and LDZs blasters. But respect to both. Miss the old Sandstorm

@@user-uc1pn1gt1v wrenchd has great blasters. Not passive at all. It's not really as good as boomie's, but his reads are great and that puts him way ahead of the curve.
If you can find out if your opponent is left or right handed, you can essentially put a likeliness percentage to all their dodges. This is based on the premise that we prioritize / prefer to use dodges from our dominant side. Plus smaller maps allows less movement options and makes it even easier to know where they will be or want to go.
There is money on the line. Wrenchd has done his homework on sandstorm and if his "boring" playstyle seems to be able to put down the world champion, I don't see why he wouldn't just go for it (?) Why would he go "nahh making it more fun and entertaining for the viewers is more important" and to those complaining katars are broken. Fine let's say they are. Sandstorm had been switching to lin fei but wrenchd still rose superior. If katars were broken, then the match would be a matter of ( who abuses the weapon better? ) and that's wrenchd. Yes katars are broken and overwhelming right now but this is a tournament match against the world champion. You'd have to take every advantage and opportunity you can get to win besides cheating. Abuse and manipulate the game's current flaws to your advantage. Not to mention wrenchd's blasters were putting out so much work as well yet everyone kept blaming katars. The match wasn't all katars. Even the commentators took note of it. Lucien was an all-around perfect pick for wrenchd so why would he switch off of it? Again, this is a tournament with money at stake lmao. Sandstorm is the world champion. A very scary opponent especially in tournaments. Wrenchd saw an opening and an opportunity to put him down and so he took it. All of this is why I don't think he deserves to be bashed by the public. Do you?
Wrenchd has set a new line for the tide. Sandstorm lost his wave when he tried Lin Fei. It's been a good run so far on who tops off in the tournaments.
Tbh, sandstorm doesn't need to be always the world champion to be considered as a great player, wrenchd could be the next one for being very strong. But anyway, they both played very good!

There is no excuses for Sandstorm to lose this upcoming world championship. I'm betting we will see Boomie and Cosolix up there too with this new update. Wrenchd will fall again, he really thrived off of the katars buff. There is no denying the coincidence of him suddenly winning after katars changes.

I guess top pros studied hard and learned how to avoid that shit from sandstorm, I think sandstorm came to tournaments with an innovative style, but I guess it isn't that innovative anymore

BMG buffed the living shit out of katars and nerfed the living shit out of scythe and gauntlets. They also buffed sword and blasters. Sandstorm doesnt take the game that seriously, and everyone has been adjusting to the meta. On top of that, Wrenchd is as good on katars as Sandstorm is on scythe. Its not Sandstorm being bad now, its a drift on the META and BMG nerfing the weapons tournament champions win with.
because wrenchd is coming from losers bracket and sandstorm from winners, so wrenchd has to win an extra set to make up for him being in losers bracket.
Wait what just happened... I know Wrenchd played better than usual but Sandstorm? He played kinda strange, didn’t do any strings or anything, made like 3 hits with 2 or 3 dmg lin fei I don’t remember, then he didn’t continue, ofc he’s not gonna win a noob like me can see that. Also he gave up a free win playing mordex, clearly the scythe didn’t work against wrenchd’s Lucian (we saw that when he played Faith) so why pick another scythe?.. Plus Wrenchd got so many stocks from edge guarding and that’s not only from this game, watched a game between Boomie and Wrenchd and he got so many stocks from just edge guarding, Sandstorm gave Wrenchd all the time he needed to get back, he was standing on the platform waiting, he gotta play far more aggressive if he wanna win, he did play aggressive once or twice with katars but since he isn’t a usual Katar player he’s not used to the off stage play with them

Sandstorm is always trying to find a way to do a scythe string so thats why he kept losing. Gauntlets is something he doesn't know how to do a string. He just spam heavy attacks on gauntlets
Im tired of all these excuses people are giving sandstorm, just leave it for what it is wrenchd has been practicing, and honestly its nice to see a new pro winning all the time.
Wrenchd has two weapons you can spam with. You have katar nair and you can combo spam with blasters. Hopefully sandstorm can win the world championship

Spam is BEYOND irrelevant in a grand finals and really means absolutely nothing for the entirety of the brawl playerbase outside of literal button mashing, Sandstorm got clapped.
Why can anyone admit that the previous world champion was beat? Like its not just because katars are op, he read sandstorms every move. stop assuming that wrenchd only won because he was using katars. Sandstorm played his og main and still got three stocked like wrenchd is just a better player.
