Sandy has it all-voice, sex appeal, beauty, she is so cute, she is cool. Her voice didn't change, deep, powerful, sexy voice. We must keep that woman, she is a real living treasure!!! Eurodance is alive, especially with her, her charizma, especially with her voice.
I don’t understand why Sandy was hidden, she looks great, she could have easily been the face of Corona. I get why Ann Lee wasn’t the face of Whigfield because she doesn’t look like a typical pop star but Ann later found solo success. Sandy never really got to release an album of her own 😟
I assume that both Sandy and Jenny weren't considered marketable, not enough conventional. Olga was tall, thin, a conventional beauty, a top model-looking woman, that's why they chose her to lip-sync to Jenny and Sandy's vocals. They must have thought that she could sell the songs more and better. That's a shame! Something similar happened to CC Factory's song "Everybody Dance Now", the voice is from Martha Wash who didn't appear in the video because she was plus size, they used a typical beautiful girl for the video. ICE MC also adopted the same formula for "Think About the Way" but then Alexia, the real singer behind the song, thankfully appeared in the following singles, videos and performances.
@@xxxTIN0xxx Actually both Sandy and Jenny were never meant to appear, they were only studio vocalists by own choice. Jenny would be the singer and also the face of Corona project but she didn't want to dedicate herself only to this project because she was busy recording for many other projects and of course she would profit even more if she kept doing it like that, than dedicating herself for one single project that wouldn't take too long to end. So she recorded only the 1st track and left, then the producer needed a face for the song since the original singer had left and the song was already a big success worldwide and he didn't want to give up on Corona so easily considering the impact of this song. That's when he hired Olga, the model that would be the face of the project and also the one starred on the music video. But as we know Olga had a bad time with English back then also due to her strong Brazilian accent and she wasn't properly a professional singer so she couldn't assume the vocals on the rest of the 1st album, that's when the producer had to hire a 2nd vocalist to do the vocals from now on - Sandy Chambers was chosen. She kept recording for Corona till 1998 then she left because of her pregnancy and that's when the producer also gave up on the project - considering that the 2nd album was a flop and they would not profit that much if they kept it on, also the end of the eurodance era didn't help. Olga is great though, she really seems determined to go on with her career with her own voice. 👍
@@xxxTIN0xxx Can we talk about how most of DJ DADO’S songs were sang by an artist, but represented by a model… Example “Give Me Love” “Coming Back” the vocalist is Michelle Weeks. indeed not her in any other videos. “Face It” Stephania Aggio not in any videos :(
BUT Whitfield can sing That's crazy though. I don't understand why they get other people voices that don't go to the artist but the artist can sing as well which is not making sense
It is nice to see Sandy getting a little recognition, but there's no need to hate on Olga. Olga hasn't done anything wrong. Her job is to represent Corona, to be pretty, to perform, to be a star and entertain people. She does all that very well! I generally don't like acts that are mimed - I do find it dishonest. But don't blame the model! :)
The Corona guys needed a model to perform, to dance, to appear on videoclips, etc., so that was Olga. The song of "Rythm of th night" is other singer who sings too, Giovanna Bersola. That was "project" not a real band in ortodoxal way.
@@o_ebrio What's really weird to me is that they needed a model to perform for Corona. Look at Giovana Bersola aka Jenny B in this clip ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1z4lf6ur7Ac.html She was absolutely gorgeous!
Six years later but it's now that I'm discovering some Eurodance black singers like this and Melanie Thornton from La Bouche that I also love (RIP). I've watched Sandy performing in videos and she looks perfectly fine, even better than Olga and Olga is a bad singer. Sandy seems friendly, nice and a real singer with a warm, sweet and powerful voice. Singing Baby Baby is incredibly hard, but she also sings beautifully in Because Loving You. She performed with Double You that was the band with whom she started and she looks cool in those performances.
No not at all, Corona sings her songs. She sings them clearly live without any hints of lip syncing (aside from cheesy 90s appearances, prob by the record company)
