Sandy's "forward smash" in the air seems incredibly good with how long it seems to last, it's hitbox, and power (and not much lag after the move ends it seems??). Her lasso also seems quite good since it can outspace opponents and combo into any move. Gonna make a review of all this shortly tonight (on mvgleague)! These are fun, keep more videos coming! Game looks great!
Yeah, but it can be added later down the line imo. Power Rangers Battle For The Grid had the same issue in terms of voice acting but then they added voicelines.
@TheLateShowGuy Well Power Rangers did have Virgil's va (who was actually the ranger in the show) to reprise his role. I do think the va part depends on how well the game will be but I do hope it does well because to me it seems to be a lot more than just a Smash clone.
I love the Fiery Fist O' Pain karts, the gloveworld balloons holding up a platform, the giant road sign, Glovey Glove, and what looks to be possibly Make-Out Reef in the background!! This is such an amazing a stage with SO many references!!
I'm lovin the enthusiasm this dude is saying these moves lol, games looking great. But we need to upgrade this soundtrack, I know Nickelodeon got bops in spongebob.
5:12 her down strong sends up though so it doesn’t seem like it’ll be as easy to kill with it. Her up or neutral strong might work though. Also spongebob was only at 55%.

Yes, however I want the ren and stimpy reveal more. Also a reptar showcase would be interesting since hes the only character that we haven't seen his stage. But powdered toast man's stage looks fun though

I just want to give a big thank you to the developers of this game especially and all those who are working on this game. Youve given more fan service in these few months than Nintendo has in years. You've put a lot of love and attention to detail in this game and it's going to pay off. I can already tell this will be one of my favorite games of all time just like smash bros! Keep up the great work!!
The sad thing about these videos is that they imply that the characters won't have super moves. The people who made memes that were like "This is gonna be this character's final smash" are crying.
I am SO SO SO relieved that they dipped into Sandy's love for karate and her Texas origin for these moves and didn't just lean into the "literally just an inventor who only shows up when an invention is needed" characterization that she's unfortunately been getting in the most recent seasons. I was honestly worried she was gonna be a ranger, but it's perfectly in character for her to be a brutal, aggressive brawler.
I really hope there is alternate music for this stage lol. I can’t imagine fighting an intense match to this song. I know it’s supposed to be a carnival but I feel like there could have been something a little more fight worthy.
There will be no reason to worry about tournament legality of stages as it's already sorted out, the devs said that there is a lobby option that automatically changes the rules to the competitive settings (3 stocks, 6 minutes) and restricts the stage selection to exclusively the 5 competitive stages (and Glove World isn't one of those stages).
We are gonna need that guy that makes smash-like remixes to make suitable BGMs for all these stages so we can mod them in on pc. Well, something had to be sacrificed due to the budget size, and I for one am fine sacrificing the music in order to keep the mechanics and stage design tight.
After all the updates and tweaks and buffs Sandy has gotten, she plays very differently than how she did when the game first launched. I only play Sandy for casual play, but I wonder what a pro thinks about that?
I think the reason why Glove World was chosen for Sandy's stage is because: 1) It fits the Texas setting that Sandy is from more than the Dutchman ship. Think of the roller coaster as the animals that are ridden in Texas such as a Rodeo. Also the location of Texas depicted in Spongebob has a Wild West feeling to it and Carnivals may also have several minigames from the Wild West such as a shooting range, horse riding (even a merry go round ride) and even the use of a lasso rope. Glove World is depicted as a Carnival location in Spongebob afterall. In Spongebob's case, since the carnival is Gloved theme these objects would be replaced with Gloves so for several viewers, the original theming behind it will be lost. Science would also be required to create rides such as rollercoasters, and science is one of Sandy's specialties. 2) While its not the same glove, a Karate Glove is somewhat synonymous with Sandy. 3) The Dutchman ship is more about pirates than anything related to a grounded western setting like cowboys. Rocks are typically associated with passage ways such as caves, or even road blocks that could sink someone's ship. Think that could be a reason as to why its likely chosen as Patrick's Stage. If this is the reason then its quite well thought out as to why Sandy's stage was chosen as glove world. While she may not have a relationship with a location as much as Patrick or Spongebob, several of her external characteristics would be associated with it.
I love the amount of work you guys have placed into this game. Sandy looks amazing but this stage will never be tournament legal and only ever be played ingest or by a dare from the hardcore. Thank you again for all the work you guys have done 💖
@@thesacredphoenix I love that they care so much about us that they would be willing to add that. I hope this becomes a new standard for rollback platform fighter netcode. If I ever find that discord I'll think the team personally for giving us what we want
@@Overhazard well these are the guys that made slap City I'm sure they would add some wacky items why not. Sure the casuals might enjoy all the craziness but it'll be the hardcore that keeps the game alive and when we burn out I'm playing the game super strict you better believe I want to throw some gak in someone's face
@@namelesscomedy1899 I'm keeping my eyes peeled regarding what else we haven't seen yet. I am probably an "anti-player" for lack of a better word when it comes to Smash. I play every stage in their default forms, items on, FS Meter on, Time. Event Tourneys are right up my alley, so that's what I mainly play when I boot up Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I actually used to play Melee in the stricter, more competitive way, but I got bored of that. It was the crazy, more chaotic casual way to play that has kept my interest since. (This goes for other multiplayer oriented games too.) I don't think we've seen a platform fighting game have items and use Rollback competently, which is why I'm keeping watch.
Sandy's stretchy boots reminds me of the "stretchy arm and extendo fingers" from My Life As A Teenage Robot 😆 It would be great if they brought that back lol
