Over the years, Sandy has heard a lot about San Juan from his kids who frequent this part this part of La Union. It is also called surftown, because people from all over come here to surf all year round.
San Juan has also developed a reputation for being a food hub and that’s what Sandy is here to discover. He starts off at Flotsam and Jetsam for beachside comfort food. Then he meets a Japanese pro surfer who opened an izakaya and serves the best and most authentic Japanese food in La Union. He ends the night with the famous 5 Minute drink at Funky Quarters, a famous bar among regulars. Sandy is pleasantly surprised to find out that his favorite Pakistani Restaurant, Ahmad Brothers that he discovered in Baguio also has a branch in La Union. He makes it a point to drop by.
