What's a little sand when you're hungry?! Join Kris and Rebecca as they ride through sandy sections of the SCAR to grab lunch at Park Row Market in Edgefield, SC. Both the ride and the lunch did not dissapoint! Kris rode his Kawasaki KLX300 and Rebecca rode her Yamaha XT250...great dual sport motorcycles for poking around on the South Carolina Adventure Route!
A few notes:
- Sand on the SCAR's Loop Connector is primarily present on its southern end, between Batesburg-Leesville (Hwy 1) and the SCAR's Main Loop. North of Batesburg-Leesville, the off-pavement sections of the SCAR's Loop Connector are mostly gravel.
- Why are there big, colorful turkey statues in Edgefield? Because Edgefield is home to the National Wild Turkey Federation! Be sure to check out Edgefield if you get the chance--it's a very nice small town, and the pride taken by its residence is evident.
