@@johnmcquade329 I'm guessing the sarcasm detector was left at home today kidda? I reckon most people who are familiar with that pub would get it. A bit like walking into the Rock in your Orange clobber. Just for the record, and in 2023 it really shouldn't bloody matter, but I'm not protestant/CofE/CofI and quite frankly couldn't give two shits about Orange parades, Easter parades or anything else along those lines. Jesus lighten up, I meant no offence!
@@klawlor3659 on the contrary you could of said anything but you said what you said catholics don't take veiled threats lightly after the amount of us that were murdered beaten and discriminated against even to this day, so wanna joke about something so sensitive go do that in another country my friend, for that is taken very very seriously, i myself was beaten twice for my faith
@@johnmcquade329 I know Ireland, and the North well. I spent a good chunk of time over there when I was younger, and lived in the republic for a fair few years. I probably spend at least a month over there every year. I understand the way things are "up the north", and usually my tongue in cheek humour is taken as just that. I've also probably been in every pub in Belfast, on each side. I've spent a few nights in the Lodge, Rex and Rock everything in between. Maybe I've been lucky but the only grief I've ever had was in Newry back in the 90s. For the record I don't wear a GAA shirt or footy top. I tend to be courteous and treat people how I want to be treated. If they're Catholic like myself, or protestant makes no odds. I know that not everyone is like that. Anyways, this'll be the last time I say this. It certainly wasn't a "veiled threat", but sorry you have taken it that way. If you read it again and look at the smiley emoji it's kind of a giveaway. Peace.
