I was there with my family in August (2 or 3 weeks) / have been staying at Sanibel Moorings for many, many years. Botanical gardens, excellent accomodations and wonderful management. I treasure all my videos of the beach, especially late afternoons with so many people, just like a big family, would walk the seashore at low tide looking for empty shells. Just gorgeous, peaceful and fun at the same time.
I knew the before and after was coming. Great job as usual poor islands took a beating, lets hope the rains we are getting help them to be green again Next time you going to Sanibel wave to your right just 2 miles ahead of the causeway I am right there
Thank you so much for everything, Lindsay! I love your positive attitude. Keep it up❤. Did you pass Joey’s Custard? I would love an update on that. I have been to Sanibel several times and it is so sad to see it like this but we are all happy to see it improving and getting back, day by day. 😊 I know I have mentioned Joeys before, and I just wanted to share this with you to maybe give an update. If you haven’t tried this amazing place, I highly recommend it once everything gets back to normal. It tastes amazing and there is a great design and staff. 2467 Periwinkle Way Baileys Center Sanibel, Florida
They come back. It just takes time. Palms are susceptible to viruses..that's what you have to watch for. Throw some Epsom salt around the base and they do well.
Hi Brian! Fred is right. I think I’ve heard some palms are tougher than others (I think coconut palms?) and while some are done for a lot I’ve seen have some greenery sprouting.
