Breaks my heart seeing the old Lazy Flamingo gone....worked back there in '87 ....not much after it was first opened... some of the best 3 yrs of my life spent there.

I thought about taking my kids here in June. We’ve never been down there and I want them to shell hunt. Do you think it would still be good to come down then? I’ve found some really nice. Heap Airbnb a short drive away.

Yes June is nice because it isn't too busy. Sanibel and Captiva beaches have recovered really well.

It's so heartbreaking. Are things moving slowly for lack of workers or lack of insurance payouts? Anything we can do to move things along?
@LindsayLola_
@LindsayLola_ 9 месяцев назад
It's a combination of both sadly. Permits as well. I think all we can do is wait.

It's just so sad to see. I live in FL full time and my home is everything I have. . I can't imagine losing it. All those poor people that don't have a ton of money to rush things along :(@@LindsayLola_

Is anything of this house left? How can a huge house just disappear?
@LindsayLola_
@LindsayLola_ 9 месяцев назад
I'm not sure which house you're referring to but many were washed out to the ocean or damaged beyond repair and bulldozed.

DeSantis wants to make the palmetto bug Florida’s State Bird. He thinks a cockroach with wings better reflects the future of the state’s economy.

Haven't heard that one.

@@LindsayLola_I think he just hates your governor. Are the condos across from Docs in Bonita Beach open? I went on VRBO and they seem to be rentable

@@caroleelder4836 hi Carole! Beach and Tennis Club across from Docs is currently aiming for a late February opening.

Actually, insurance problems are a direct cause of DeSantis. And if it's lack of workers, that's DeSantis, too. We are getting the shaft in Florida. My heart breaks for Sanibel and Ft. Myers Beach @@caroleelder4836
