Such a great moment for Dutch gymnastics! But 5 years later I still can't get over that zoomed in shot of her face when she's doing her Wevers pirouette. Like how did the director not cut to a wider angle? Who needs to see her face when we need to see her legs?

that triple spin (Okino) in 0:55 is a bit low for E value considering that its only her who is performing it. 😍😍

If I’m not mistaken dance elements are capped at E- a very unfortunate and foolish rule.

That is a sound which is heard in every exercise she does, not the friction between her feet and the beam.

@@abrahamnextel No it is NOT. Rewatch all of her routine. The same sound plays in every exercise she does, even the cartwheels. I have no idea what that sound is, it seems like friction sound but it is not. Maybe the sound equipment something idk

@@leykimayri Late reply but it's the shutters of the cameras from the photographers, they take a gazillion photos while she does each element and then choose the best ones that the news and press agencies use for articles.

Proof that elegance will always be better than ott power. This is what balance beam is meant to be. Elegant and graceful and balletic. Wholely deserved far more so than Biles.
