Not 'in the choir'; they have their own. It was all boys when I was up at King's, this is a great addition.

He's actually listening to the choir. He is so far away from them that without the headphones he would have trouble staying with the choir.

Jerry Silcox The console in Ely is just beyond the choir behind the show pipes. The headphones are worn as most of the pipes are around the building and thus the sound from the console does not match what you hear say in the nave or even the Quire.

That makes sense, never having been to Ely Cathedral I was guessing. Thanks for the information. Angelic music!

I suggest you apologise for your remark. Why would he do that? An organ is very loud, he needs to listen to the choir otherwise how can he connect to how they are singing it?
