Great video for sure, let's get that straight. Santa Ana's rollout is major and needed to be documented. Now we just need to see the takeaway of their original and unique color scheme from the WMX days. As for the carts themselves, no disrespect to Republic by any intention, but they dropped the ball for this one. I haven't seen a color scheme that I can put in the same rank as CR&R's dark greenstone & multi-colored lids for a long time; until now. As reminiscent of Tustin's original carts from 2001 as these are, I was really really hoping for Santa Ana to be rolled out in the same identical colors as Fremont. This combination for me seems very dull and soulless, and I will gladly take WM's new California color scheme over these any day; despite being similar, but still not identical. I am very confident that this same third party company rolled out Azusa for us, based on how they're using three different trucks to deliver each cart. When Azusa was transitioning to automated collection, we tried recommending them to deliver a full set all at once, but they said one color at a time is easier for them. We ended up with numerous phone calls from residents missing one color or two, or not even receiving any carts at all.
Thats pretty crazy on how you guys got lots of phone calls from customers saying that they were missing cans, in the area I was in, they had trucks delivering cans and taking old WM carts if they were empty. What's crazy is that after the Tustin rollout in 2019, there are still some federal disposal cans left. Also when did Azusa start going automated?
@@octrashdude7764 Azusa went automated on Valentine's Day. After the first 2 weeks we managed to deliver whatever remaining were missing and we took all the old manual cans ourselves.
So sad to see WM lose this contract. Do you know if they will start using Republic’s bins until their contract officially ends? Also, has WM started collecting their old bins?
Yes, they will use republic bins until the contract ends. They have already started to collect the Wm bins in some areas that already had some streams empty, and it is also very sad to see Wm go.
@@octrashdude7764 aww good to know! Wanted to see if I could get my hands on a classic WM cart before they take them all. Haha & yeah it’s the end of an era. It is sad to see.
Sad to see a soldier go😔 Ik this is a dumb question when the New contract start will they used some trucks from GG and Anaheim justify they were geting 520 rrs or zrs
well actually, there is no yard in gg, its actually in hb, I believe that the Anaheim yard will do commercial and residential trash, and Huntington beach will do residential recycle and green waste,
Yes, there shutting down the yard because the yard won’t service Santa Ana anymore and there would be no point in servicing north Tustin out of Santa Ana anymore, so NT will be servicing out of Irvine in the summer time
