Strubing could be one of the most underrated skaters ever. I had the honor of skating with him back in 1995 out in Valencia Ca and he blew my mind. He was ahead of the game back then, just straight bombing and doing the longest tail slides and grinds, I had never seen anyone skate that fast. It's so good to see him still ripping.

He seems really surprised with how much stuff he's putting in there. I like at the end when he's like "These guys are going to check it off, let's go skate". He returns and all of the stuff has been put back on the shelves lol.

My second board (first one was a Nash) was an old Ron Whaley pro model around '95 that had an army soldier on it. Would love to see that deck again!

I am sure you don't remember but you gave me Ed's board at a demo in Japan back in 2001 on the tum yeto tour with B.A., Brad Staba and Ed Templeton. That was the first time I saw you skate and became an instant fan. I was blown away by how fast you skated and still tech at the same time. I would love to put your board right next to that one on my wall!

I skated that deck, seen the nose on it and was instantly sold. Immediately locked in nollie flips and nollie double flips. Unfortunately I’ve never found a board quite like it since.

91/92a's or whatever are the hardness not the size (1:50)... Those were soft wheels, 97+ of course, being on the harder side of the street (or vert depending on the year)

When I was a little kid my mom got me a crummy skateboard from the toy store (love you mom) and I would take it to the skatepark and watch the big kids destroy it with their Santa Cruz boards. Today I own a Santa Cruz Pabst Blue Ribbon board and I love it. Just making my dreams come true.

How in the world can Whaley's tall ass look so comfortable on such a small board. Dang! Do your thing Strubby, but I would have hit up all the reissues(well...I probably would have snagged one of Stu's Creature decks. That 9"x33" is a perfect size).

My Santa Cruz deck got waterlogged on my way to pick up Street League tickets this weekend, and the tail snapped yesterday, and a dark sadness washed over me.....

I highly respect Santa Cruz but always pass over it because I have no money haha so i would love to win this deck to finally try one out.
