That's not a split corner glove box, remove the side stops by pressing in on the tabs themselves and they come right out of the box. Pressing in on the sides of the glove box can crack it.
Just come across this by accident, I recently bought a second hand Sante Fe 2.2 diesel, they said it had been serviced, no way the filter was full of leaves and blacker than a badger. Sorted my aircon out a treat with more airflow.
Had to go through several videos to figure out how to open the cover. This was the only video that shows yo squeeze the two flaps together to unlock it.
Didn’t really said which way the arrows or flow goes so I’ll say down as everyone else has said and if you push those side clips down you don’t have to bend in plastic as you can break them glove compartments hope it helps anyone doing this without the guide book 🤪😅😇
@@ADE-of-LAGOS Well, I'd have to go check, I don't know off hand... I change these in my families 4 vehicles once a year. So, they all kind of are jumbled in my mind as to which way each one goes.
Glad to help people save money! Some of those quick change oil places will charge insane amounts for cabin and engine air filters (I've heard people being charged up to $100! But more commonly $60ish). The filters are usually $10, and take seconds or minutes to install. Good job looking into doing this yourself! Your engine air filter is just as easy (maybe easier). $20 for both filters once every 2 years (I do mine every year, but, that's overkill really).
Do you happen to know the model of the fram breeze filter you put in in this video? I have a 2011 and they recommend two different model numbers which are different sizes 🤔
Not the same for pre 2006. Dropping down the glove compartment is different. The filters are different. There is two of them and they are aligned vertically.
