*Santi BZ400X* - bit.ly/3ChDSaZ The Santi BZ400X is a thicker drysuit undersuit for cold water diving. Made for water temperatures below 7°C, the BZ400X has a great warmth to weight ratio for long or cold dives.

Santi make some of the best undersuits on the market, and the BZ400 is no exception., Using the BZ400 with a FE X-Core, makes for the best mid winter undersuit combination. Wish I could say the same about their drysuits.

Whats wrong with their drysuits?

Where do I start. Boots leaked after 50 dives, had to be replaced, and quite a common problem. Neck seal went after less than a year, follwed by the zip. Now up to three leaks on the legs. My suit was an Emotion, and I’m not a heavy user or abuser of dive kit. They are very stylish, but rather fragile. After 5 years and about 300 dives, I have relegated it to a spare.

@@stevenlovell3466 thank you for information, I'm looking into buying santi or fourth element and I don't know what to buy, do you have latex or silicon seals?

@@scubacro5758 To be fair to Santi, the problems were mainly with the add ons and not the fabric of the suit. I would advise the Elite rather than the Emotion. I think the fabric is heavier on that suit. The Fourth Element suit is good. I have gone for silicon seals on my new suit, with Kubi dry gloves. They are as durable as latex and user replacable. My new suit is an O’Three 90Ninety trilam.

Could you guys do the Flex 360 from Santi as well, also warmth vs this bz400x?

#askmark These kind of undersuits always looks super buoyant to me…do these kind of undersuits require a lot more lead? Compared to say the Fourth Element Arctic?

I normally dive with a Santi BZ200, in winter, when I use the BZ400, I have to add about 3kg extra weight.

@@stevenlovell3466 Cheers for that. That’s kind of what I imagined, 3-4 kg for something this heavy duty. I’m looking at a heated vest now I think instead of this.

The BZ400 is good, but can be quite restrictive. I might see about using the BZ200 with a Fourth Element X Core underneath. this winter..
