In the most recent Republican debate, Rick Santorum endorsed racial profiling to prevent terrorist attacks, specifying Muslims and younger men. Opponent Ron Paul expressed his disagreement with Santorum's stance.
I remember this well, and told my buddy about it when I saw it. You left out the best part... right after Ron Paul, they asked Herman Cain about it and he then said basically the same thing as Santorum but called it "selected targeting" instead. It was like someone trying to sound smart by using fancy words and speaking in a nice manner, when there's no substance underneath.
You keep blaming the means of mobilization for all the bad things, when it all comes down to these simple facts: People need food, water, a place to live, pride/respect, safety and a certain amount of capital surplus to thrive, and if you felt like someone deprived you of one of these virtues, you'd want to get it back!
A nation can mobilize a people for whatever reason. USSR mobilized for sociological reasons with a class warfare and anti-religious argument, Mao Zedong did the same thing during the "great leap forward" and killed millions, Pol Potts killed 30% of the Cambodian people for being intellectuals. The list goes on. You're not really opposed to realigion as much as you are opposed to one-sided propaganda or totalitarianism. Don't you see that totalitarianism and bigotry is the real cause?
@Xawthem i'd like to know if you've even read the constitution, like most people your going completely on emotion, since racial profiling would make some people unconformable u naturally assume it's unconstitutional. I just think u should give an article to backup ur point rather then just smugly say something's unconstitutional. also how do u know what the tower bombers looked like? cuz i never saw that vid, was it just another flash news reel that stated what the plane-nappers might have done
@786sami786 that's all there is to blame man, ur worldview changes everything and if it doesn't then what's the point? like really, if what u believe doesn't direct how u live then do u really believe it? or does it really even matter?
America is all about freedom, and democracy to all. No one is being persecuted here. We are only guilty of spreading freedom throughout the world. Examples. Germany, Japan, and Italy were liberated by the USA after WW II. S. Korea was liberated by the USA. We fought communism in Vietnam, and tried to spread freedom there. Iraq was liberated by the USA. Libya was liberated.
@786sami786 at first glance this makes sense but "white people" is a very big group from many different places having nothing in common but color. while islamist's are a large amount of people that have many things in common. while i think santorum is a joke, i would say profiling is a great thing, u just have to be trained how to profile, for example in isrial when u get on a bus, 2 soldiers will get on and profile everyone on the bus, and they don't get suicide bombers very often. do they?
@Ikjyot do u really think that this era is so much different from past civilizations? for thousands of years people like u have thought that big government was the answer. ur just like them and ur just as wrong
