I mean, public servant should only make minimum wage. You chose a life of service, not a life of wealth. Self-sacrifice is requirement for good public service. I personally prefer a system where the more power you have, the more of yourself you have to surrender. Your family, home, career, even your name. Money and Legacy are the wrong reasons to go into politics, so remove them from the equation.

The US doesn't really owe anybody money. The US is a currency issuer. As such, it creates its own money through the treasury selling bonds and the Fed reserve buying them. The only limit to this is inflation. And as such, the interest rates were raised and more will need to be done. You and I can't print our own currency. Govt debt is different than personal or corporate debt. Govt debt is owed to itself (treasury to Fed reserve/central bank). Also, the US dollar is the primary trading currency in the world. So where the USD goes, so too do other currencies follow.

I've worked as a janitor and have known the finest people, far more intelligent and caring than what's his name, whatever he goes by. This is a congressional failure of accountability. No one is above the law. This Santos will be charged with election fraud, violating campaign finance laws and tax evasion. Trump will be indicted for espionage, obstruction of justice and insurrection. But Congress needs to restrict presidential and congessional powers. Just because the people elected them doesn't or shouldn't mean they're above the law.

A friend of mine had a heart attack and dtroke, and broke a pelvic bone in falling. We had a hustler take over fund raising, running off his friends, and while she didn't take all the money, she took enough to buy herself a new refrigerator. I heard from a man who'd worked in elder care that this sort of thing was rather common. The family is distraught and welcomes someone who seems to know how to set up fund raisers. The hustler takes some to all of the money.

Members of Congress cannot be 'recalled' by the people. It's part of the Constitution, not controlled by any State rules. A member of Congress can only be removed by Congress itself. It requires two-thirds of the members of the specific body for an 'expulsion'. That would be highly unlikely given the GOP majority in the House.

I could think of a few other fitting terms along the lines of: beast, vile, despicable, deplorable, insane, malevolent, evil....

you should've seen the photo of the dog's tumor. it was the size of a basketball. the dog had to be euthanized a few months later after santos' said he would not give the vet the money for the surgery. poor sapphire was in pain and there was no way the owner could pay for the surgery...so putting her down was the only option remaining.

It’s a timed test and you can’t miss more than two. Most people fail it because they don’t finish it in time. When I took it, I was the only one in the room that passed. There was at least 30 people there, 75% of the people in the room couldn’t even finish the test.
