It's wild how they're considered "underrated" nowadays. I remember bands like Thursday, Thrice, Saosin, Taking Back Sunday, etc., were HUGE when I was a teenager and now they're called "underrated." These bands deserve as much love nowadays as they did 20 years ago.
@@stuckintheinbetween I was right there with you back in the day, and I'd say even back then they were fairly underrated. Slightly within their own genre, but definitely on a world scale
ME!! On nostalgia!! One of the best shows ever at Skatepark of Memphis ever!! Besides getting sucked under the sardine packed crowd... man where has time gone??
I remember this was the first song Saosin released with Cove after Green departed. I was blown away. Although I don't think they ever really topped this song.
Ha I've not heard this song in years but played it feeling nostalgic. Holy shit this version is so much better than the one I had in iTunes back in the day. Love it
They're really about the same to me, in terms of Saosin. Anthony Green went on to have several other sounds. But the Cove version of songs Green did are 98% the same.
@@patrickperot6296 nope, I agree with Joshua, Cove can't really sing Green's song and vise versa, similar to Dance Gavin Dance, they've got different vocals but each vocalist delivers different style but you can still distinguish that it is DGD
@@JamesEatWorld7758 he was on the album “The Dream” by Open Hand. That is a perfect album. His drumming on that is INSANE. Go listen. Get your mind blown. They let him loose on that album.
I remember getting a free saosin demo at warped tour 2004 and this was on it. I probably listened to this song 1000 times the first half of my freshman year of high school.
In 8th grade in 2003 I found fuse tv I'd watch this over again, Never heard of music before then I picked the best type. Taking back Sunday Thursday Thrice My chemical romance Afi Etc
I hate how everyone here is talking about how awesome this was in high school in the 2000s, I'm not even 18 and this makes me wanna live at those times. :'( Update: I am now 18, this song still rocks but it would have been nice to see saosin live at their peak. I can still relate to younger me lol.
Yeah were all old now, turning 28 soon. Saw this for the first time on Fuze warped Wednesday's. Thought I was going to lose my mind when I saw the sick guitar throw. Oh how I miss those days.
Green left the in february 2004. They didnt get signed to capitol until 2006 .Cove is a great singer and definitely is the one who got saosin famous. But without anthony green saosin would have never got that signature sound. So hats off to both Cove and Anthony
I just know that they're going Asia Tour in 3 months! Alright, imma let my hair grow as long as possible and flick them as hard as I could like I was a teenager. Miss the good old days. See you guys then!
Bury your head Bury your head I was feeling fine You'll be coming clean tonight And i'll be falling down with you once again Call me your valentine Call me once tonight And I haven't said its Ok The things you said I'm rehearsing them The things you said I'm rehearising them They went back on us (closed eyes rolled back couldnt step it up) I could know when to come onto it Its the thought that emerges (set back couldnt step it up) I could never love the idle vein Bury your head and the child smashed you down When this stops you shouldn't call me again Fall down below I'll sleep tonight when your Ok And I haven't said its Ok The things you said I'm rehearsing them The things you said I'm rehearising them They went back on us (closed eyes rolled back couldnt step it up) I could know when to come onto it Its the thought that emerges (set back couldnt step it up) I could never love the idle vein Bury back the words you say now This is what you call love They stole my life stolen it all they wandered around and round I know They stole my life Stolen it all Stole it all Bury back the words you say now They went back on us (closed eyes rolled back couldnt step it up) I could know when to come onto it Its the thought that emerges (set back couldnt step it up) I could never love the idle vein You'll come clean tonight
@@jonmarcmondor always wondered the same, i always assumed it was but never heard anything from the band about what this song means. the song reeks of drug addiction of either the story teller or someone they know, or both.
man this shit right here 2005 classic i can say i miss this era but cant really say that those days were better still same ole shit 11yrs later minus the coke problem
I’m feel really dumb saying this but im a Latino guy who converted to Islam. In high school I was a cholo but lowkey loved listening to alternative rock. Also hawthorn heights “Ohio is for lovers” is such a great song.
