Wow, so good to listen to this. I can't believe it's been almost 20 years! I can see myself listening to this at my grandmothers house. Thanks for bringing these memories up!
I love Cove so much. I finally got to meet him and chop it up with him a little bit in Charlotte at the Dead American show. PS If you REALLY love Cove, you will go buy NEW NOSTALGIA by Dead American .....RIGHT NOW!!!!
bruh u know these are *released* demos that u could buy at Warp Tour and most of the base vox lyrical & tonal work on these tracks were originally done by anthony, right?
I swear there was an Anthony Green version of Uphill Battle. Does anyone else remember it or am I crazy? Anyway, just got this song stuck in my head after not hearing it for 10+ years. So yeah, maybe crazy. 🙃
nope.. lol. this uphill battle is the only one.. 7 years with anthony green is fire. Oh Jesus Christ is Lord. All I listen to is praise and worship but sometimes I miss this good music from high school lol
@@leemcmullannice ego flex outta nowhere that had nothing to do with anything you psychopath. God forbid you would sin and sneak some Saosin. lmao poser
@@alexlehman977 haha me too! That or Kazaa. I still think to this day that the first release of Bury Your Head was superior to the album version. It was the first time that my friends and I heard Cove...We were astonished how closely he sounded to AG. It brought us so much hope after learning of AG's departure...I can't forget those days! Saosin & Circa Survive both were paid to perform at our college, that's how big the demand was by the students!
The lyrics to this version of Some Sense of Security are different. Took me a while but I found some, not sure how accurate they are... so what have we done with x and o's we mark our way (mark our way home) please, monsieur, pull over now she's aware and all is wonderful tonight now we're almost home I can be the one that you want me to holding on to everything you make me we try to not forget it's so much better then you are in all of us you will call and I will be okay cause it's so much better then now composure is sad and lonely again she smiles this time as we are openly slow please, monsieur, pull over now she's aware and all is wonderful tonight I can be the one you want tomorrow and I showed up late, come let me in we try to not forget it's so much better then you are in all of us you will call and I will be okay so much better then this won't mean anything anymore come cry me? I'll be tonight? this won't mean anything (out tonight?)
I agree. The one thing I wish is that he said, "your eyes have changed" in the chorus of this version too. That is the line that ties it together for me.
@@Steinbock23 Atticus used to put out these mixtapes calling Dragging the Lake back in the early 2000's. I found so many of the bands that shaped my preferences from those.
@@Steinbock23 I'm actually so happy you've asked haha. I'm finally old and can share something cool from this era for me. Atticus was an apparel brand that was founded by Mark Hoppus & Tom Delonge way back then. The Atticus: Dragging the Lake compilations were just really good songs from cool bands at the time. Without those tapes, I would not have gotten into a lot of the emo/punk/metal that I grew up on. Some cool person actually made a playlist on spotify of the old mixtapes (mashed together as one). I'm going to link the spotify below, as well as some more info about the Dragging the Lake mixtapes. @@patpatpat I just opened the playlist and saw a few bands I love. I'm gonna check out the other links too. But that's actually an awesome idea that they did back then and I wish there were more things like this now but with the same nostalgia
