Beau Burchell of Saosin plays It's far better to learn from their self titled album using his Balaguer signature Woodman BB prototype in matte black finish. Tabs for this song are available at www.sheethappe...
Bro, this whole album is the soundtrack to my highschool years. Thank you so much for making this incredible album. Super cool to see you play through these songs. All the best :)
I was going to same the exact same thing! It transported me back right to that time and brought back all of the best memories. To this day Saosin is the most special band in my life.
Just following up here to agree to this comment, as I am a music producer. Even back then, this Album just had something all other artists were missing. It was and still is so damn crispy
Beau? does Alex have a channel? id love to see his crazy ass drumming to all these songs. hehe if not you need to tell him to make a drumming channel. haha that be fucking bad ass, man! yup
Bury Your Head was one of the first songs that got me into any sort of heavier rock, and still after listening to it for so many years, the bridge to the last chorus always forces me to focus on the song if i'm distracted haha, it's just so gripping. The drumming still holds up today it's insane. So many quality fills, they aren't there just for the sake of it. Along the Shadow was also incredible and I really really hope another album comes out soon. pls beau.
without this album, my junior high school days would never be the most memorable moment. thank you for every riff and every tones you pour in there. this is truly a masterpiece!
I always knew the guitar work on this album was super technical but... now that I am actually seeing these playthroughs... The guitar parts were ahead of their time in a way! super awesome! brings me back to high school!!!
i listened to this album nearly every day driving to high school my junior year lol still listen to it pretty regularly. i don't know if you pay attention to the comments, but you guys were a huge part of why i got into playing music myself. thanks, my man.
Nostaligia feels! Cracking album and I'm sure if I heard it for the firs time today I'd agree with my younger self. Love to see the actual artist play along!
Hey can you run through this whole album and do a play through?? I love this whole album and would love to see it!! Also you’re a sick guitarist and so talented!!
@@bKoelle689 oh dang! yeah, man, I grew up in LA so that was easy in the early 2000's to see them. i moved to Oly in 2009! hello, fellow washingtonian! o/
@@etsd311 Cheer's dude! I'm on the east side so a trip to Seattle for a show is never an issue. But California required more planning, could never time it out right before they would sell out.
The literal scene goat. Thank you so much for existing. Your band completely changed my life and now getting to learn production from your twitch streams has changed it again. Thank you sir.
This is the best one so far in terms of camera angles/cuts not getting in the way - thanks man! I still can't get over how ergonomic your picking hand is
STILL one of my favorite songs! The feel of it is perfect!! As a guitar player I have to say this song (the whole album really) has inspired so many riffs!! I’m still working on getting that exact delay and echo for this song to sound just right…
Finally, one of my most favorite songs! Really glad you done this, there's nothing better for us musician to see the artists themselves do the "official" play through of their songs. Cheers from Indonesia, man!
I remember being on my early 20's thinking about how these guys came up with the idea of combining this kind of guitar playing style, that I think has a heavy metal sound, with soft and melodic vocals. I'm just happy they did that. I don't know if there were any other band before them, but for me, they were the band that made me feel amazed about that mix of sounds. Imagine being in an american band and don't have a clue that you're impacting that way a latin american dude living in Perú. Stay safe.
@@Beau.Burchell It's also cool that you take a minute to respond some comments. Saosin is one of my all time favorite bands, and the sound of your guitar playing is one of the reasons of it. Sadly, this music genre is not big in my country, so unless someday I go to USA, is probably I would never going to be able to see you guys playing live. I'm going to take your response as an autograph in my "Saosin" (2006) CD Copy. Thanks, Beau and the rest of the band for the amazing music and the happiness it brings to me. José (PD: I have never really pay attention to Bjork's work. I'm listening her right now, and I can see why you said that. WOW)
I still listen to this album regularly. So many feels man. I was in the process of learning a bunch of this albums songs on guitar but all your guys stuff got pulled from songster so this is awesome and super helpful man thanks!
@@Beau.Burchell Songsterr is a free tab site with the midi tracks and tabs for every instrument like ultimate guitar pro. It said your guys stuff was removed due to copyright but that they were trying to secure a license, now you guys don't even come up in the search. 😔
@@krispyasfk2567 Interesting. I think all the labels are cracking down on that stuff. When I upload these play through videos I instantly get a copyright strike. I even tried to fight it showing my publishing information that I am the writer of the music. But the big labels always win.
Beau, This album is still my all time favorite. There's nothing that compares to hearing it for the first time. I just remember saying to myself there's nothing that comes close to this and it is still true today. Question how does it feel to have been a major influence for newer bands like Erra? Any chance of a collaboration? Additionally, is Saosin working on anything new?
It's really cool to hear bands like Erra. I produced their album NEON. I really like Erra a ton and they are awesome dudes as well. Everyone in that band is soooooo talented.
Hell yeah. I love their sound because they lean more on the hard rock and emotional hardcore compared to today's post hardcore bands that leans on metalcore and are composed of breakdowns.
I can't get enough of this album. Thank you (and the rest of the band) for making such awesome music. I bought the book from Sheet Happens for this album. Guitar pro files are great and all but I learn a lot better from visuals and watching you do a close up run through of this song has really helped get a better understanding for each section. EDIT: wait. the sheet happens book has a completely different intro/verse than what's being played here and doesnt really sound right?..
if someone asks me.. what is the best album ever?.. i proudly say This album is #1 for me. perfect album not gonna lie.. after that breakdown of sanity album followed close at the 2nd.. with the same perfect album type in their 3 albums
This is awesome, glad I found your channel!!! This and collapse are my favorite tracks from the record. Really wanted to learn how to play both songs back in the day, but finding a tab, let alone an accurate one 15 years ago wasnt easy. Mind sharing the tuning on it's far better to learn?? I know you want people to head over and buy the tab book, but figured it wouldnt hurt to ask.
