Again, wasn't happy with the quality of the other I found. Here's a great version. I particularly like this video because their drummer, Alex, is a freaking beast.
watching Saosin - FULL COVE REBER SET (Live in Garden Grove 6-17-23), then i am comeback here for comparation.. i love this band from 2006 i was school. damn, so nostalgic. saosin is epic legend
My heart was with this Saosin, with Cove...I don't really listen to lyrics in songs, but these 2 albums really had meaning to them. (No hate to Anthony Green fans, it's just my thought)
What happened to us all? Have we slept through it? Taking hits off the surface It's too hard to swallow When their judgments are concentrated On everything they know Was it all enough? (No fair) Or did it wake you up from your sleeping? I've overheard it once This has gone on before It's too one and the same When you're accounted for We seem so far away from These things we used to know We seem so far away from Everything we are Everyone that moves around me They're saying nothing That makes the fight a blur Say we're something That no one wanted to hear They know that everything is wrong Was it all enough? (No fair) Or did it wake you up from your sleeping? I've overheard it once This has gone on before It's too one and the same When you're accounted for We seem so far away from These things we used to know We seem so far away from Everything we are All we are is golden This won't mean a thing All we are is golden This won't mean a thing
Lol check out Saosin - "It's Far Better To Learn" and look at the live performance on kompelokilpikonna (which is the third video) it was around the time he got kicked out. watch it and tell me hes still amazing in this time period, before he was, dont get me worng, but now.... its history lol
@ToTheSummitkicksass Disclaimer: I've never found a "healthy" way to scream, but I can simulate a scream like that by basically emulating the same feeling of when you "force" a cough. It does hurt the voice though so I don't do it very often, and I'm sure there's a way to do it without damaging your voice. But if you want an easy way to make the sound that's how I've found I can do it.
Look up Mellisa Cross The Zen Of Screaming. It made me able to scream without hurting myself at all. I've been told I sound like Spencer from Underoath and I no longer get that painful feeling where your high range gets decimated after a few lines and you have to gasp in between every word.
Wiki is fail, theres an interview buried somewhere that Anthony himself said "I was at the airport, waiting to get back to California to do our new album and realized this isn't what I wanted. I called the guys and told them I was staying."
@Naturalpipes You can always recover though (to a certain extent). Look at Chris Cornell, has very harsh vocals and has been doing it for over twenty years, smoked like a chimney, and he's still performing live pretty well (as opposed to a few years ago w/ Audioslave there was a stretch where he was having some serious trouble)
@humblyshyt my point is though how many guys do you know that can keep that high tone so clearly without turning into a falsetto. anthony did it like a boss and cove did it for a while its just disappointing, i absolutely loved the self-titled album with sleepers and voices, i was soo depressed though to find out they werent making another killer album
@zackfact sorryi shouldve said they stopped letting anthony write songs... basically stopped him from doing his main job... so basically kicking him out...
@monstertrad Let's just hope they don't turn out like Chiodos and lose half the fan base with their new album based on the fact they don't have the same singer.
Anyone remember the music from “sleepers” on a demo with Anthony vocals? They re recorded it with cove when the beetle album came out, I’ve been searching for it someone help 😂
