Andreas, that’s a wonderful knowledge share, thanks a lot. I was wondering if the cache cleaning helps speeding up loading Fiori apps at all? What’s the main purpose of cache cleaning? Thanks for your feedback in advance.
Thank you for your support. Cache cleanup becomes necessary when SAPUI5 code changes aren't immediately reflected in the Fiori Launchpad application. This problem occurs because the previous code is cached in SAP Fiori, similar to browser cookies, within the gateway. As a result, the new code is not updated in the Launchpad interface. Therefore, if you are developing or deploying a new update to a Fiori application, it is recommended that you clear the cache first.
Andreas, thank you so much. This clearly explains the purpose. I’m not a Fiori expert however I created ICF $ OData for our customer pilot system and investigating how to speed up the current Fiori apps, no development at all. Hopefully you could publish a new video to outline the speeding up processes soon. 🙏🙏
