I had a SAR K2P, it was one of the best pistols I've owned so far and not just for the money. I'd take it to the range with a Walther PPQ I had at the time and shoot them side by side. As great as the PPQ is, I was able to shoot just as well with the K2P. Only difference was the quick trigger reset of the Walther, but I tended to shoot slightly tighter groups with the K2P. I'd definitely pick up a SAR again if given the chance.
im amazed how some foreign countrys can produce an accurate pistol, that can compete with the major gun makers here. that are well built and accurate with a lower price.
It's a neat firearm. Right now, I owe a Witness 9, SarArm Sar K2P, Sar Arm Sar B6P. They are very accurate. They cost a lot of money. They were purchased for how well they fit my hand. I know I didn't go wrong. out of all them, I like the Witness the best. I carry it and the other two are back ups. I would like a few more out of there family. I'm sold on them, enjoyed the video. Got my gun Tuesday (week delay) after getting two additional clips mentioned below and holsters from Outbags a nylon range with clip and leather iwb. Both were listed specifically for Sar B6p on their website. 100 rounds no issues. Low recoil, comfortable to shoot and gun had tight groups, better than my old eyesight and twenty years of not shooting. Your enthusiasm helped me decide (with the other videos on RU-vid). I also love the look of the stainless steel barrel with the rest of the gun black. Same goes for the CZ 75, with the addition of the stainless steel trigger. It just looks like the perfect mix of stainless steel and black on the gun.
to answer the magazine questions ... all CZ 75B magazines work flawlessly in the Sar B6P and B6P compact ...mecgar can be had for 20-25 bucks each depends on where you buy them ( online ) ... I own both b6p models and love them 3k+ rounds of perfection to this point and they just get better every time out ( smoother ) not 1 issue to date
I have the sar9 and I fell in love with sarsilmaz after that now I'm looking for something a little smaller to carry since I got my cwp and I want a sar compact
Kerry Williams another good choice is the FAB-92. EAA imports that pistol as well is very similar to the SAR full size in nearly all respects. Tanfoglio designed both and the only differences other than size is the FAB has a slide mounted safety/decocker and the SAR does not. Outside of that, virtually identical and similarly priced. The Witness Pavona is also virtually identical to the B6P
I never thought of it as one of my favorites and i still don't. But I've held on to this longer than any of my other 9mm. It really is exceptional for 300.00 bucks.
This is a amazing gun, I have had it since December 2013. Bought off cheaperthandirt $236 and now I see it for over $400. I shoot the cheap tulammo and have not had one issue. I mainly target shoot, but I carry this or my 1911 American classic 2. No reason to pay$600-1200.00 for a gun- my opinion
Really surprised by the SA trigger pull on the B6P. Compared it side by side with a Sig Pro 2009 and it just out shot the Sig. Totally surprised at the attention to detail on this little pistol where it matters. Just a note for many who don't Know Sarsilmaz (SAR) made pistols for EAA. If you get a chance, check out the K2P-45. Really a winner! I have held and shot a K2P and for some reason the SA trigger was not the same. It had a middle break before actual break and hammer fall. Also not as light or smooth. Not sure if it was just that particular gun or something that is common in that model.
Love mine...all my friends say "Why did you buy a cheap gun" because I love the way it shoots and looks and have found next to NO negative reviews on it....

Thank you for your review. I agree with your assessment on accuracy. I noticed one other feature that helps with accuracy. It has interlocking lugs between the barrel and slide that engage when in battery, much like the 1911 you mentioned in your accuracy comparison. Price vs quality is great!
Just learned the "B" stands for Bernadelli that makes Tangfolio in Italy and sold SAR the equipment to manufacture this in 2006. Another user has full size B6P and showed parts are interchangeable. Mentioned a 22 conversion kit for $150. Thanks 2improper. Bought mine last year because of your review and subscribed ever since. In Louisiana now, but once was in Montague and Muskegon. 75 degrees here, so don't miss Michigan winters.

I've got several Glock 19s, and I bought a B6PL (pink polymer frame compact version of this) for my GF, and when I took her to the range to teach her how to shoot I was surprised at how well it shot. In fact, I went and got one myself, in black, not pink naturally. I must bring up few other minor girevances though. It only comes with one magazine, and that sucks because buying another is gonna put you out $20+shipping. Why plus shipping? Because I've never been to a gun store that sells the mags for this, even the one that sold me the gun itself, which is going to send you online. Also, sometimes the brass ejections fly back and hit you in the shoulders. TLDNR version, good quality gun for an awesome price.
So just to keep the records straight that is essentially a tanfoglio fab 92 which was produce by the exact same machinery in turkey. The tooling was sold by tanfoglio to sarsilmaz In fact the current tanfoglio witness budget gun (999244) is still produced by sarsilmaz in turkey as part of the transaction agreement. Very good design by tanfoglio, based entirely on the cz75. They helped iwi (baby eagle) start their production, lookup the “tanfoglio mossad”, the Jericho predecessor
Two things about the Half-Cock: 1. Field Stripping. When placed in half-cock, the slide will move back until it hits the hammer, perfectly aligning the indexing marks for take-down. Place whichever thumb you want to into the trigger guard, and squeeze the end if the barrel with the index finger. 2) Loaded carry. The CZ (this pistol too) was meant to be carried (besides Cocked N Locked) in HALF-COCKED dual action mode. This greatly reduced trigger reach, AND reduces effort of the dual action pull.
Thanks for your insightful review. I agree with your observation about half-cock and don't have a problem with the absence of a decocker. I carried a DA/SA pistol for 15 years without a decocker. Just lower the hammer and set at half-cock. Your review lead to my purchase yesterday.
Another great firearm from sore is that St 10 I wish someone would do an actual real review on this is my favorite firearms that I own I like it better than my Beretta my h&k and my glock
I've owned the full size for a little over a year and love it. Agreed to buy a used compact model that I found today so I'll pick it up next week. I have friends with real CZ's and the B6P is very comparable for a much lower cost. Can't wait to get my compact!
Read the manual yes you are incorrect and so was trigger happy. It specifically says " your pistol has a resting postion or notch on the hammer. This notch is not to be used as a half cock postion. This notch sole purpose is an additional notch on the hammer so as to allow the sear a chance to engage the hammer if the trigger is not pulled fully to the sear. In order to lower the hammer , first move the safety to tbe "off" or "fire" position. Grasp the hammer very firmly and put a finger between the hammer and firing pin. Then pull the trigger slowly and let the hammer move forward past the reasting position or " half cock position". Release then gently let the hammer down against the rear of the slide. Push the manual safety lever to the "on" or "safe" position". In layman terms you manually decock it and yes it is completley safe i have one and it again is cometley safe and that was quoted directly from this pistols saftey manual

You're welcome! Anytime sir. I would defenitly recomend practicing decocking the pistol unloaded first. Just to gain some confidence before actually trying to decock with a round chambered. It can be a little nerve wracking manually decocking a da/sa if you've never done it before. And if done incorrectly it can cause a discharge. But if you own this pistol you need to practice this and do it because it is designed to be holstered this way decocked in D/A mode and safety on. That. Safety part is up to your personal preference really. Not to worry though. If it functions anything close to mine, it should be extremely easy to master quickly. I feel really comfortable decocking this pistol manually. Very smooth action and the hammer isnt to heavy. Sorry for rambling 😆 I already assume you know this. Im just saying this for the readers. Safety first right? I really respect that you invite your viewers to correct your facts if need be. It really speaks to your character. And thank for responding thats awesome. It kind of takes you off guard at first because you're expecting this thing to shoot like a $300 gun and exhibit flaws.... but it shoots as good as or better than most! I'm still blown away by it.
Mostly the same, I think. I mean they're different frames and barrels, but they're highly similar. The K2p is supposed to be a dream to shoot. I still want one.
I went out 2 month ago and bought one of these I would of like a heavy caliber but the 9MM is ok, I have even shot my yet , Money is tight when your on a fixed Income which that shouldn't stop me from going too the range and get close and personal. thanks for your remarks . The only thing that get me Mind cooking is everyone wants too fire it and I keep telling my so called friend go buy your own pistol , Your a big boy . So I will be taking a CCW Class and Hopefully I will never ever have too use is in a live threating Situation.
The half cock mode is to keep the hammer off the firing pin. It also slightly reduces trigger pull to trigger return spring for about 1/4 travel. Not that noticeable. I prefer cocked & locked however some dufus decided to put the serial number on a metal bar right in the way of the rather sharp safety. there is always a dufus somewhere along the line
Anyone own both a CZ-75 and this pistol??? How does this compare the orig. CZ??? Second, The manual states that this pistol cannot fire +P ammo??? I thought European NATO ammo was just as hot???
+Stephen Maurer I have both. This SAR compact is my daily carry, and I also own a CZ 75B Omega with a CGW short reset kit in it. Of course they are very similar except for size... They both feel great in the hand, but much easier to conceal the SAR. Honestly, I would say I like the SAR trigger better. I was NOT impressed with the OMEGA trigger. The reset is insanely long. Even with the work I did putting the CGW kit in, the reset is still longer than the stock trigger on the SAR. The reset means a lot to me at the range, but won't mean jack in a self defense situation, and the actual trigger pull itself, double and single action, is better on the CZ with the CGW kit installed. Probably a little better on the CZ without the kit installed also. Keep in mind that's the Omega I am talking about. Reliability has been 100% with both. Recoil is of course less on the CZ, but the SAR is a soft shooter. There's a hollow area in the back of the grip that allows flexing, the shape and fit to your hand is amazing, and it's a joy to shoot at the range. To me, that's important in a carry gun. I have to enjoy shooting it, vs some of these DAO guns that suck to practice with. I have heard people argue that +P should be ok in the SAR, and I would bet it's safe to carry it if you must. But, I wouldn't practice regularly with it or anything. SAR makes high quality products and I would be very surprised if it wouldn't hold up to a mag or two full of +P in a self defense situation, but that's up to you. Sights are real nice on both. The SAR are a little smaller, but still pops out and easy to get a sight picture. They can catch a bit on clothes and holsters, though if you're using it for CCW. Hope that helps
+Stephen Maurer Oh, and the machine work and finish on the SAR is great. The slide has some type of anti corrosion coating. I have worn it and I'm a sweaty guy, and I haven't seen a single speck of rust in 3 years of daily carry. I put a base coat of Eezox on it years ago, then I apply some Ballistol once every couple months. The barrel on the SAR is gorgeous. The feed ramp is a mirror. The SAR quality of the machine work, finish, and internal parts is every bit as good as CZ, and I would rate the barrel even better than the CZ as far as visual machine work and polish. I have an EAA Witness poly full size, and it's very well made also, but the SAR quality amazes me every time I touch it, considering they are less than 300 bucks.

Which do you like the best between the EAA Witness P Compact and this gun. They look similar but I like the look of the Witness better. I took my witness to the range today and what an awesome gun it is. Accuracy is great! Great video. You just got yourself a new sub!

I have the full size EAA (actually made by Tanfoglio) and they are REALLY close, but the machine work on the SAR is a little better, and the trigger is a little better on the SAR. It's a very slight difference, they both kick major ass for what they cost. They could easily be 450+ guns if they had a popular name stamped on them.

CDNN has a crazy sale on these right now. Have any of you had any malfunctions with yours? Will they take CZ75 mags (sticking out of course) and aftermarket sights?
James H not easily. There is no rail. EAA does have the Witness P and the SAR K6 variants of this pistol that do have rails so you can add a laser, flashlight or whatever.
Seeing how there's 6 years of experience on this thread, can someone post names of some holsters that fit this gun, both iwb and owb? It looks like now the gun is called b6c.
If I’m not mistaken there’s an actual CZ compact that this one could fit the holsters. A good thing to do is to go to the Sar USA site and ask their reps. They’ll tell you!
The Witness just feels right in the hand. it's better to control. it maybe a heavy gun but I can't tell it. It think the slide has a lot to go with the control of the weapon

i just picked mine up and threw 60 slugs downrange . very impressed , other than the fact i bought it in pink so women can have fun with my guns , i would shoot it all day
sarsılmaz extended its factory CNC copmound 40% last year.Very big company. They are bigger then CANIK in cold forging . But Canik is more tech company.
Nice video! Btw, half-cock is a safety location/procedure - the hammer will not fall due to pressure nor can the trigger be pulled in that position. Absolutely anything made for the CZ75 compact will fit this like a glove. I've had two custom IWB kydex/leather holsters made for mine and just ordered the CZ75 compact each time. One is an alien gear (I think that's the name), they are extremely well made and very affordable. They come with extra hardware and everything. Strongly suggest it. Just order the one for the CZ75 compact and your SAR will fit perfect.
I bought one for my wife, but after she shot my Walther ppq m2 9mm she wanted my gun so I end up giving it to her. so I started carry it and shooting with it, I like it but as I was shooting with it, I notice it was shooting way low so I brought the target to 15 ft. and then 25 ft. and 50 ft. my aim dead on the target but shot way low and lower the further out I went. not accurate at all.
Hmm! Now as for mine- both my wife and I were grouping 2" at 5 yards, and I was grouping 3" at 10-15. It makes me wonder if your sight picture (that you use) is different than mine. I'd take the gun to a repairman to see if they think you're zeroed well enough. If not, check Sar for the recommended sight picture because mine was about as accurate as my 1911.
