Sara Evans is one of the most beautiful gorgeous country women in the music business & she can certainly belt out an amazing tune. She never gets enough credit. Hopefully, we’ll see a lot more of Sara now on the Grand Old Opery.

This was my mom’s favorite song also and she loved singing it, tomorrow is her birthday and she is gone but not forgotten. Memories of her singing are just flooding my mind but it’s all good because she is where she wanted to be when she got sick, with her Jesus and I’m glad about it. I absolutely adore Sara's voice. She is the one and only 'old-timey' Country voice extant in the modern scene. I could listen to her sing the Nashville phone book (if there were such a thing any longer). Having said that...there is and will ever be only one immortal, all-time great female-if-not-everyone great Country voice, and that is Patsy Cline's.

Back around 2004 to 2005 I was doing sound engineering for a friend who worked at the Opry and had backstage passes. I didn't listen to country music at the time and had no idea who all the stars were. I am pretty sure Sara Evans was there on stage: she was the only artist who I knew.

She’s right! Modern-day churches, have done a true disservice to us believers. The hymns prepared your heart for the message being preached ,they reminded us of Jesus, His sacrifice, and His blood shed and our sinfulness. I could always feel the Holy Spirit being stirred up inside of me while singing the old-time hymns.
