I play every day, 7 days a week, 3 hours plus a day, I practice, practice and practice some more, I compose and record etc.... I can't hold a dim light to what this guy does, to honestly say he is a Prodigy does not do Kent justice. When you know what it takes to play because you do and then you see him, hear it... words just don't describe it, IMO. Love this guys talent and so glad he has a forum to share it with the world.

@@hanaleibay6648 I know exactly what you mean, been practicing and playing every day for nearly 50 years and could never get near Kents playing if I lived another 500 years. His ear, dexterity, tone, everything he does is off the charts and I never hear a note even slightly missed. Incredible! and his choice of songs to cover are sublime. Best guitarist in the world for me 😄

The technique is there. Phenomenal technique actually. Many can play the notes. Few can play the music. There are nuances here that also shine the light on Hall's brilliance. Holy s*** Kent has done it again.

Although it is in Japanese, there is an article that tells you about his early life and his history from his first time playing the guitar to the present, so I recommend you to read it.

I totally understand that. I have burst out laughing many times to Kent, because my brain can't believe what i am hearing.

Like at 00:00:50 when he perfectly captures the subtlety of the phrase and then knocks you out with the harmonic - amazing!

I get what you mean. Also it’s just hilarious seeing something executed that you were sure was far too ridiculously hard and practical to implement. But Kent manages to do it and make it sound exactly as it should.

Kent is no doubt one of the absolute best- love almost everything I've heard from him. And there are few who can replicate the whole band like him... How can he not? A burning flame, he sees things most are not qualified for, identifying the common threads in a more intimate way. I foresee him taking even more liberty to introduce variations like live performers do and employing breakdowns, muting or silence(may not be correct terminology, but i'm sure people get it) to build tension.
