Well I have no room to judge cuz even though I saw it five times prior I too thought he was a caterpillar (seen it a lot more since then) I have realized since that he is a worm and doesn't fact call himself a worm (don't know why I thought he was a caterpillar when he (and she) says he's a worm)🤣😂🤣😂
But I do agree with you I tell people that a lot that we should all be grateful for this one cuz the movie would be drastically different if he didn't tell her to go that way. Shoot it be drastically different if she actually stopped to ask him why she shouldn't go that way
What do cute worms turn into (BING!!🛎) All cute worms like him and his wife will turn into beautiful butterflies and butterflies can fly right?, So what that means he can fly to the castle know all the directions to take to the castle, Basically he memorized The Labyrinth and he didn't want her to know what direction to take. That's he told her not to go right always go left to hide the direction from her to the castle.
The way he's trying to figure out what he's seeing at 0:49 always had me laughing as a kid for some reason. She must look strange to him in that world.
@@jasonkelly2173 From the worm's perspective, Sarah wanted to go "through the labyrinth". If she had said "I have to get to that castle" the worm would have told her the way to the castle. But almost all characters in the labyrinth expect you to ask "the right questions" like Hogwart (sorry! Hoggle) told her at the start. Sarah always makes assumptions until she learns to say what she means, and mean what she says.
Why you cut his last line? It was something to the effect of "If she'd gone that way, it would have taken her straight to the castle"....I laughed so hard in that movie theater.....
“Things are not always as they seem in this place. So you can’t take anything for granted.” Having played Chess most of my life, this quote is how I think of a Chess board.
Literally every time an American meets a Brit. Only thing they forgot was that Americans have a hard time understanding "English" when they don't use Rs, Ts, or Ls.
Speaking of meeting, I met the worm's puppeteer Karen Prell in 2017 along with Dave Goelz. I'm also Facebook friends with one of the Muppeteers in this movie (oh wait, did Mike Quinn work on this movie?).
I hear the same score on 48 hours of other shows on ID 😂 every time I hear it it makes me want to watch the labyrinth. It was also a similar score in little monsters!
A way I see if a relationship (platonic or romantic) is building balance is to get the other person to do the “who-me? No- I’m just a worm” quite when asked a sarcastic question of blame
