Sarah Mensah - Sport Oregon Faces 

Sarah Mensah made history in 2023, becoming the first woman to be named President, Jordan Brand. Born and raised in Beaverton, down the street from Nike World Headquarters, Mensah now leads the Jordan Brand empire. Before joining Nike in 2013, Sarah spent 19 years in various roles with the Portland Trail Blazers, ascending to Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2009-2012. Mensah earned regard as a ceiling shatterer and one of the highest-ranking women in professional sports. In 2020, Mensah co-founded North Pole Studio, a Portland nonprofit supporting artists with autism and intellectual development disabilities. Adweek recently named her among the 50 Most Powerful Women in Sports, and the Oregon Historical Society recognized her as an Oregon History Maker. The University of Oregon graduate will deliver the commencement address at her alma mater Monday.
