Sarah's Favourite Summer-Flowering Bulbs 

They look very nice I planted some I bought last Easter & already blooming with flowers.

This was my first lilium. I have never been without it since. In zone 5a I do have to mulch them. I love reading about Henry Wilson and his acquisition and distribution of them. Happily for me, the lily beetle has never made it here. I started out planting five, so you can imagine the effect.

Thanks for the information about the Scarlet lily beetle and grub. 🤣 (Now I understand why my allotment lilies are rotting)

Wow...I love this Lilium Regale too! The blooms look so romantic...with the dusty pink before they open....and the lightly pink petals + yellow throat! Oh and the heavenly waft of fragrance that is especially strong at dusk! 😍🤩🇨🇦

Well, thanks! My pocketbook is a whole lot thinner now! After watching this, I couldn't stop myself - I went online and ordered some of the Lilium Regale and then a bunch of other lilies, and while I was at it I got calla lilies, some cannas, and a bunch of other bulbs!!! It'll take me forever to get all of these bulbs planted. lol

Lily bulbs are fabulous value. Here in Colorado, in the Denver area, I overwinter lily bulbs in pots so they don't take up space in my garden and I can move them around.
