New subscriber from Ohio. Lots of good information…thank you for all the videos. Trying for the first time this fall, to plant bulbs in pots for a nice display come Springtime. 😊
Hello, Joanna. Hello to you 🕊⚘ You happened almost a year ago, and I wrote you a comment in Arabic on this wonderful video about the wonderful Keukenhof Garden. Now I turn on the translat. for the English language. And this helps me a lot in exchanging culture with everyone in the world and this is very useful. Dear Joanna, I don't know if you were aware of it, that Keukenhof Park this year 2024 will celebrate 75 years since its opening this season, as it is expected to be an exceptional event. 75 years means the diamond jubilee I think. So I searched for this beautiful video to tell you about this upcoming event. Greetings Maher from Israel🕊⚘
Hello, from Texas, I planted Tulips and daffodils at the same time, the tulip our about 6 inches out of the ground but no sign of the daffodils, is that normal?
Hi Lynn! That could be because you have early Tulips and/or late blooming daffodils which could explain that. Possibly your Tulips are planted in a sunnier area? That will make them grow faster! So long as your daffodil bulbs were firm to the touch when you planted, they should bloom fine 😊😘
@@bobbiostudio I appreciate your quick response. The daffodils were firm and healthy and plants them in the same spot as the tulips and it is a sunny area. I love ❤️ your videos, very informative. I can't wait to see your 2023 spring video!!
Yes I added a specialised bulb starter fertiliser to accelerate root growth 😊 I haven't truly compared blooms with or without but I've had good results when applying it. I also apply fertiliser in early spring before blooms so that the leaves (and therefore the bulb) can be fed and increase the chance of re-flowering next year 🌷
Hello 👋 typically tulips in borders don’t need to be watered but that might depend on your climate! Here in the UK, only water after prolonged dry spells (more than 2/3 weeks) and get the soil moist (not soggy - tulips hate sitting in wet soil!). Hope that helps xx
Hi Becca, I’m so glad you found it helpful!! Do drop me any questions or video ideas in the comments (or on Instagram @bobbiostudio) of other content you’d find helpful 😊😘 happy gardening!!
No that’s not necessary, mostly aesthetic although that does give you an added layer of protection against frost. You can leave the soil bare, mulch if planting in a flower bed and even sow grass over them if you want a meadow effect. Hope that helps 😘
You gotta be one of the most underrated gardening channel out there. I love how you explain everything and the passion you put into what you do. I’ve a very small garden and this fall I’ll be planting 1200 bulbs, in containers and mostly on ground. I’ll be trying random “meadow”, lasagne on ground and lines. Let’s see how it goes
Omg your comment truly made my day, thank youuu that’s so so kind ❤️🥰!!! Oh wow 1200 will give you a glorious show - I’d love to see a picture next year if you’re happy to share!! Happy planting 🌷
Absolutely love Bobbi studio channel. Everything I have tried to do with advice has been successful.Such a lovely positive inspirational time with exceptional tutorials.Thank you

Beautiful selection of tulips 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 I will be planting my 500 spring bulbs next week ..in Ireland A lot of spring bulbs planted from September onwards ..up till Christmas ..
Well, I actually could have waited until the cold snap was over but if the soil is not frozen you can still plant in December and early January! It’s actually recommended to plant some spring bulbs (mostly tulips) after the first frost or when soil temperatures have dropped below 10d Celsius consistently to reduce the risk of tulip fire caused by a soil borne fungi 😊
😁 It’s possible ! We moved once to a more rural area in the UK at the end of 2022 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vI9sD95Zb80.html And then again shortly after to France early 2023 - from there everything is in the French garden ! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EkAvL1819U0.html The video ‘Top Tips to plant tulips’ was filmed in the UK 😊 (it’s from planting bulbs back in 2022) but YT will show you old videos sometimes ! Have a great weekend 😘🥰
Hi Johanna. Wow, you persevered through the icy frosty days of winter to plant those beautiful spring bulb containers....yahoo! So excited to see the fruits of your frosty labor. Hope you were able to enjoy a cup of tea by a warm fire 😊. Thank you much for your garden inspiration.
Thank you so much Darrylin 🥰 definitely took a lot of tea and coffee break during planting!! Making fires in the evening is so lovely 🥰 I hope the bulbs come up next Spring, the weather has been crazy!!
