► Two years ago, Sarah Thomas was diagnosed with breast cancer completing her treatment only last summer but as a keen open water swimmer, Sarah wanted another challenge, crossing the English Channel.
And this morning, after 54 hours, she did it. Four times. Non-stop.

The gullibility of the masses who believe this really happened is the real inspiration.

She swam ~3.9km/h for 54 hours. I don't think people can appreciate how crazy that is.

It didn't happen, because it couldn't have happened. 130 miles, 54 hours. You wouldn't be sipping champagne you would be in an induced coma.
@LinusBerglund
@LinusBerglund Год назад
@@truthlifefishing1730 of course it happened. Don't be a jealous arse. However, the actual distance and speed was lower, since the current made her go sideways.

I’m so impressed beyond imagination! My generation is inspired by nicki minaj and shallow people who push negative behavior/self deprecating behavior…which would unlikely have them in a extraordinarily high level challenge like this woman here. …now this is a true icon, a true inspiration and someone who just had me in tears for pushing the limits I had in my mind about human capabilities. This is a beyond powerful moment and should be put in the history books. Thank you for inspiring me Sarah Thomas. I cannot forget your name. Much love, Daesy x Bae Dae

They say men are better at sports but Sarah has absolutely smashed all the records by such a large margin i doubt anyone will beat it anytime soon
@youtubename7819
@youtubename7819 2 года назад
Society tends to focus on specific activities men are better at as proof they are better at sports. It’s pretty well established that women naturally have better endurance and flexibility than men, but people tend to not value those things as much in our culture. Thats because those attributes favor women and don’t place men on the highest pedestal… so of course they “don’t count” as athleticism.

@@truthlifefishing1730how can you say that when people were watching her swim
@truthlifefishing1730
@truthlifefishing1730 Год назад
@@mstuff521 they were in on it. She swims across the English Channel four times NON STOP. Think about it, objectively, clearly, use logic. Even if you have no current, in a straight line the distance is 21 miles (34km) that is one way, multiply that by 4 and she just swam a minimum of 80 miles (132km). Then she sat on the beach sipping champagne. She would have been shaking, receiving medical treatment, probably taken to hospital and people who swim that distance also have hallucinations. But she seems just fine. Something is not right.

For all the "logical" people on this comment section who say she didn't do it, just google her other achievements in long-distance swimming and genuine world records she holds. You guys can't do something and think nobody can. She has another 168km record to shut you guys up, or inspire you if have the guts
