I don't blame her. It looks like chaos in the audience with no one paying attention. There are people, technicians, cameramen 360 degrees all around her. There's a crazy naked man running around. Plus it seems like it's a hot. humid night. She can't feel very comfortable.
Idk who the organisers of this concert were but can you see how messy it is with an audience all over the place, distracted & constantly moving? No wonder Sarah even makes a gesture that signals bad smell and says, "let's play anything and get out here".
The voice of Sarah Vaughan was in a very good condition...depends on from the sound of the recoding for example from the recording Live In Japan, her voice was more darker. From smoking cigarettes perhaps. But really I prefer the concert from Rome.
Sarah Vaughan had a timeless voice and even as she got older, her voice was still amazing. Every note was effortlessly sung. What a phenomenal lady who is truly missed. ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing this video. 😊
Unfortunately, this is the only performance with her on those tapes I got. But there are several other jazz concerts in Italy from the 80's that will be published soon.
Как микрофон от тома (или бочки) напольного заводиться, капец... Как это звукорежиссёры мимо ушей пронесли)) Ближе к барабанному соло проблему пофиксили. Ну а так, для 1976 года это очень круто. Мои родители только в 1978 поженились. Просто сравнить уровень...культуру... 70-е СССР и 70-е Италия.
