@abbasmomin I’d like to compliment you on your Hindi. This is for the correct use of ‘kripaya’ because I’ve heard many proud Hindi speakers say “kripaya karke ye bandh karein” !!!! Urghhh! Obnoxious! I hope this comment finds you and all of them too😅
Abbas bhaai agar English mein time lagta hai to bhaai Hindi mein bol lo. I love this episode and went back to HUm and you were so irritating. Hindi movie ke baare mein show hai to Hindi mein bol lo. Zabardasti ka English kyun he bolna. It’s a good show, and I love it. But just an advice please don’t be so shallow. Be true to yourself. If you love something say it, if you hate something it’s okay. But atleast don’t be so fake to be critical. All because of your English explanation and synopsis this show is unbearable. I have to unsubscribed in one day after started listening to other videos of the podcast. Just be real don’t make fun of things which you didn’t understand in the movie. Don’t pressurised yourself of being cool and hate the classics. It’s okay if you love movies from the past cz it’s cinema a art. We can have masterpieces from the past from pyasa guide bandini sarfarosh Sholay Mughal e azam mother India boot polish. So don’t need to laugh unnecessarily just tells about what people can relate with the move in present time. What if it releases today. Please make sure you need to make this podcast much more engaging rather than forcing it to be funny. For funny things we already have so many RU-vid channels to watch contents. This channel is come up with different content in the market make it different rather that making it pretentious movie review kind of channel. I hope you take this in positive way. I want this channel to grow as it has the caliber.
Kudos to IVM for getting the perfect guest to talk about Sarfarosh! He’s an aggressive fan of the film. So much that Neville once said on a podcast something on the lines of - Godfather se phir bhi tu scene kaat sakta hai, lekin Sarfarosh se kya kaatega!
1. KJos best wouldn’t be My name is Khan? KKHH is actually his worst. 2. Again Urjita comes without homework and says one of the first movies where heroine goes after hero and guest corrects her. When will she learn or IVM understands this and upskills her. 3. Superb guest, true bolly fan with so much good information and his passion spills out to us viewers, thank you.
Watched it fully. It is more than an hour long, so after dinner is ideal for such shows. My first time here watching you guys. Sarfarosh is the reason I became a fan of Aamir ( still am) and good Hindi films in general. One thing, small bit that I loved in Sarfarosh -- and was NOT talked about was a small funny character -- the informer guy. Scenes involving him were so funny, important, setting the tone. Salim catches hold of him and this guy complains that his 'new' shirt( taken from a presswala) has been ruined. He flirts with girls who pass by, singing aasmaan mein, laakhon taare... In fact I want to see Sarfarosh again for him.:) (Of course I can watch the film any number of times) .When he talks a lot one of the gang guys tells him gruffly -- ' Kam bolo' -- a line that has stayed with me all these years, as a good philosophy of life 😄
Thank you guys for taking the time to discuss about someone whose image is kinda tarnished. And according to me the best star actor in bollywood history. The OG Ayushman Khurrama. The OG Rajkumar Rao. Aamir Khan. Thank you for this podcast. Really means a lot.
His image is only tarnished among WhatsApp University educated bigoted bhakts. Real movie fans will always love him. Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Satyamev Jayate, Paani Foundation, Academy Award nominee in a competitive category. He has done more for the country's image than unemployed Sanghi troll army.
@@gruntgobshite Well said (I legit LOL’d at “WhatsApp University”). Frankly, if you’re pissing those people off, you’re probably doing something right.
I will say one dialogue that has aged particularly well where one character says yeh cultural programmes aur hone chahiye dono mulkon ke beach. Bhai Rajneeti apni jagah aur kala, culture apni jagah. If you remember the whole vitriol that Pakistani artists had to take in recent years it unfortunately shows how politicians haven't learned anything. One more thing which wasn't stated by the panel is how Aamir Khan is a Muslim playing a Hindu police officer and Mukesh Rishi a Hindu is playing a Muslim police officer.
One of my all time favorite movies Brilliant direction by John Mathew Manthhan awesome ghazal and songs composed by Jatin Lalit. That's how a patriotic movie should be made it's Pretty grounded in it's approach 💯🤘🏻🎥🎬👌
Double feature Reco: A Wednesday Similarities: 1. Cop drama and terrorist plot 2. Fast paced action thriller 3. Impactful Dialogues/Monologue 4. Naseer sahab as Protagonist and Anatognist 5. Chase sequence in crowded market by Amir and Jimmy Shergil (in white shirt)
Okay confession, I watched a lot of hindi movies esp 90s and 00s due to TISS recommendations. I am a Tamilian and I grew up on a sparse diet of Rajni and Kamal movies, my parents never allowed me to watch movies. But discovering these movies through TISS boys has been a joy. My top 5 are: 1. Sarfarosh 2. Hera pheri 3. Lagaan 4. Satya 5. Swades
Is this the first Indian movie to highlight discrimination in Pak against muslims who came from India? After this every Ind-Pak conflict movie mentions muhajir angle..
On Abbas's comment that security was lax and how could sonali bendre enter backstage so easily....i watched the movie again and realised that sonali was the anchor who introduced gulfam to the audience and as pointed out by Neville her brother was the organiser.
Get Bawa again for another movieee!! Also, it's was a bit surprising and nice to see how much Bawa loves bollywood because usually we his Aaron Sorkin fandom side.
Can't believe this, i was just thinkingabout watching sarfarosh after heavy praise from tiss boys, and i see this video with bawa , coincidence i think not!
Amir Khan doesn't have a PR team like SRK. But Amir Khan's work does the speaking. He has done some fantastic movies during his career. He is so underrated.
It was a branded sponsorship segment for a limited time.

Bawa you are absolutely right - Abbas ko sab kuch pe critical lens lagane ka zaroorat nahi hai, Has it aged well gave quite low ratings to Kaante, RDB, and 3 idiots.. although agreeably Sarfarosh, Luck by chance and Dil chahta hai are a def 10/10
I agree with Abbas on 3 idiots. Something lacked in it, maybe the honesty or something else. The honesty or intelligence associated with Sonam Wangchuk and merging it with some labourer’s kid working for the rich who is intelligent, the great friendships, the love angle, the sudden vanish and making it work again. To summarise an intelligent person and turning it into typical Bollywood character.
To repeatedly call John Matthew 'MAtthan', MANtthan without any of the others correcting him points to a deep malaise in the North and West of India. They don't bother to correctly understand names from the South of India. I am sure the Neville and the others are not political people, but the lack of careful pronunciation hygiene while taking South Indian names, especially by educated English speaking people is quite disappointing. Hindi readers may not face his issue because the Devanagari script cannot read Matthan as Mantthan. So guys if you don't read Naidu and Nayanru, just extend the same to other South Indian names as well. By the way people commenting on this vodcast have also started calling him Mantthan.
