So very fascinating, thank you, Sari! It gives enormous appreciation to really see how much hard, dirty and loud work goes into making the skeins of clean wool that we quietly and peacefully knit with. Amazing.

Thank you for this video, Sari. I hope all those podcasters who so admire the sheepy smell of their yarn see it. I'm tired of the snobbish and consumerist knitters all over RU-vid.

Wonderful video! Loved seeing the process and learning more about the history of wool in Spain and tidbits of the wool industry as a whole! Thank you for sharing and thank you to Wooldreamers for allowing you to share it all with us!

I had the pleasure of touching their wool in person at the Vogue knitting Live in NYC in February 2023. The sample garments were gorgeous and if I didn’t have a cabinet full of Nutiden yarn, I would have purchased quite a few skeins. Once I knit what I have on hand, I will purchase from them. The quality of the yarn was exceptionally soft to the touch. Thanks for sharing your field trip!❤

I live in the middle of Merino wool country here in Australia. I wasn’t expecting to hear about our sheep in this video - how cool!

So cool! I'm currently working on a garment in manchelopi so this was so informative. It does break, but it's easy to put back together. Haven't done cables with it yet though. Thanks for this video!

I would LOVE a mystery shawl KAL from you Sari! Maybe for autumn a big shawl to wrap around the shoulders ❤

I just finished a pullover using Manchelopis held with Silk/mohair. Easy to work with and beautifully warm and light. Loved the video.

I ordered unspun yarn and unspun fibers from them to Sweden, the shipping was fast and not expensive at all. I have knitted a long cardigan with traveling stitches. Very very soft yarn.

Super cool video! I just finished a tee with Manchelopi, and just went to my friends and helped skirt their 9 fleeces of Romney. And came home with a fleece, here in Canada.

I am almost done making your Billie pullover with some knitpicks simply wool worsted (eco wool). Now my next 2 need to be from blue sky fibers woolstok, and wool dreamers probably the first one you showed, the undyed. Tho, that yak base looks lux!

Kiitos tästä kierroksesta! Manchelopis on kivaa lankaa, neuloin sitä just yksisäikeisenä Ito Sensain kanssa huivin pitsiosaan. Ostin Saksasta Making Stories -verkkokaupasta.

Does anyone know why the sheep are being kept in small fenced pens without grass or anything? It doesn't look very ethical to me.

Maybe there’s a shepherd that takes them out to the pastures but they have to be fenced in to protect them from predators. Or, if they’re at a wool festival they have to be penned in.

I think he said that is the ram stock, which they lend out to farms,to better the gene pool.
