Sari Nordlund's RU-vid channel is a mixture of knitting podcast episodes and tutorial videos showing different knitting techniques.
Sari designs modern and minimalistic knitwear with Scandiavian flair. Her knitting podcast episodes can be watched both in English and in Finnish.
Sari Nordlund lives by the sea in Finland. She's a professional knitwear designer who also spends most of her free time knitting, despite vowing never again to touch needles and yarn after failed attempts at knitting in her childhood. Sari loves undyed wool, knitting cables, good quality coffee and cats, not necessarily in that order.
I’m just finishing knitting your Kuutar sweater! It’s my first attempt at lace work and it’s turning out so beautifully! I love your design, thank you for putting these beautiful designs out for us to enjoy 😊 🧶🙏
I saw this just in time before finishing my Ballard tee. The regular bind off that you used is what I will use. Is it the regular ribbed bind off? Ps I love my ballard tee. It fits beautifully.
Sari, Thank you for such an excellent video!!! I've really begun knitting more neutral garments myself for versatility of wear, and your video was so inspiring! Looking forward to all of your next design releases.
Toi meleerattu toppi 😍 jään odottamaan siihen ohjetta. Ihanan yksinkertainen ja nopeasti neulottava. Tuleeko sinulta tänä kesänä sukkaohjeita kuten aikaisimpina vuosina?
Hello Sari, I love your summer knits! Especially adore the rococo Tee, and since I am traveling to Kopenhagen in June, I would like to buy the knitting for olive silk there. Could you give me an estimation of the silk yarn I would need for my XL size? Thank you so much!! Kindest regards from Mieke from Belgium
Hi Sari, Thanks for another fab podcast. I always love to see your designs and what you’re working on. Just curious about the Pohjola tee, which I fell in love with, for warmer weather. Will you be releasing the mods you did on the Pohjola pullover? Think I’m going to need the tee and the pullover in my life 🥰🥰 have a lovely time in Philadelphia. Xx
Sari I love your Rococo Tee Absolutely gorgeous. Looking forward to the pattern release. Hope we can see you soon on the west coast of Canada. I am a huge fan of your beautiful work,
I started knitting the Diona Tee a couple of days ago in Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino. Which bind off method would you suggest to prevent the flaring with the hem?
Your designs are so lovely and timeless!! Thank you for rescuing another kitty. All of ours over the last 35 years have been rescues and they make the best companions. I love to see Luna in your videos.
I loved seeing all your current projects and hearing more about Luna's story too! Funnily enough, my cats were also meowing for their dinner when Marlon started meowing for his. :) Looking forward to hearing more about the shawl knit along!
Will you ever travel to the West Coast of the USA ?? It seems all the knitting activities are usually on the East Coast😢 Love your designs❤ Greetz from San Francisco
So fun! Really enjoyed this episode! So many great outfits. One of the tanks you had on isn't tagged above... maybe it's a new pattern! Will keep an eye out for it. Beautiful pieces! <3
Excellent podcast thanks Sari…. I’m having a love affair with your patterns at the moment….. the Kaarina Tee in Shibui (very sadly discontinued) Twig is one of my MOST favourite things I’ve ever knitted, making Diona Tee now in a Linen/Cotton blend & heaps in the queue - great for Australian climate & so smart - many thanks!!
Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this podcast! Being fairly new to garment knitting, I struggle with fitting my knits into my wardrobe. You showing the way you style your knits is wonderful. So happy to find your podcasts.
