for the cv joints jumpink out of sockets I kind of expexted it even before you said it ,I have had this issue many times but now lego makes the newer tipe cv joints with shorter axles and I think the longer sliding ones would fit
I got the orrery, the MP4/4 and all the new speed champions sets today and I’ve built all the speed champions and the MP4/4 before bed and I’ll build the orrery tomorrow. There were a lot of new pieces visible in the promo pics of the speed champs but there are even more hidden inside! There is a decoration thingy in my grandparents house that explains how I got $280 worth of sets today, it says “The grandchildren are often spoiled because no one will spank grandpa”
A quick thought on the variable pitch prop. In my attempts to retrofit my Technic Airbus H175 with a variable pitch tail rotor, I've found that the mechanism is actually quite compact, although I never was able to figure out how to make it work with three blades.
Hopefully the lighting in the Tiger video will be good, as the wheels really need it to be showcased properly! The Fw will be awesome, and the propeller/engine solutions are brilliant. So interesting to see your steps at arriving at such a sick end result for the heptagon - do you think those grey ending pieces would work for any number of linkages given their rounded nature?
