Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s step to shut down planning commission has intensified the debate in political discourse over socialist model of Governance in India. Planning Commission is an apex body which worked with a socialist mandate for bringing Socio-Economic change in a rapidly developing paradigm.
It will be replaced by a different agency like China’s National Development Reforms Council (NDRC). Watch Sarokaar with distinguished panellists discussing various aspects of planning & development and envisaging the need of a new institution.

points to be noted: Reason for replacement 1. A political message to end the nehruvian model 2. sometimes it is easy to replace the malfunctioning institution than to reform it and the present commission is not working on par with the prescribed mandates. 3. It has been alleged that the commission has been rendered as a mirror of the ministries. 4. It is also involved in many unnecessary functions such as review of state plans which could be avoided being given to this commission Fact: Several reports have been previously placed to bring change in the present system but it was never known till now ! The new commission will also have the same mandate with some additions commensurate with the 21th century needs but it will still be seen as to to how it is going to be implemented as this is the only centre of whole controversy and the reason for replacement.

I cant expect the thing from these educated man bcz their conversation is totaly showing that this PC is become too old and not working well so PM declare that..I want to ask a small question that 'which Indian constitutional or other apex body is working well as expected and not is old ?'................The only answer of above disscusion is that Mr. Modi dont want to run the goverment in same manner or on same track like UPA & NC..bcz this planning commission is the way of working style of UPA...THATS ALL
